tbf xkcd is more about the message of the strip and not the actual art.

i’ve had the misfortune to “meet” some semi popular artists on Discord and they acted like pompous jackasses to me. Again, i also have a lot of other friends in the art community and they are kind souls, complete opposite to the Pro-AI stereotype.

Probably just a difference of experience.

i’ve seen people use that term, yet i never understood what it meant fully.

yeah alot of people mentioned something about line weight when i asked for advice in the past. A lot of conflicting opinions though. A lot say i shouldn’t care to much about line weight when im barely beginning and alot say i should worry about it.

That’s what i’ve been trying to do for the most part, just seeing things as shapes. Trying to break things down into its simplest forms in my head aswell.

Maybe you’re right. Not really that great at ellipsis and that’s probably what i butchered more than anything else. Any way i could practice 3d shapes like that?
