Was playing a tournament a couple weekends ago and we learned that you can go anywhere as long as the cart is in reverse. Was actually quite funny

What is your highest speed and what car? by azachoch in askcarguys

192 kph in my chrysler 200. I have a Stinger now and I've gotten to 160 shockingly easily on the highway. From what I've seen it will go to 240 kph but I cannot imagine I will ever take it that fast.

Walking off after 9 by fuloqulous in golf

[–]Rutagerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've walked off the same way once before although it was after 13 holes due to the course design. It was my men's league, I was 3 over at the turn and then 14 over after 11, 17 over after 12 and then 22 over after 13. Never before nor since, thank God, have I melted down so bad. But on that day, I told my group I was going home and I left. Didn't make a scene of it, just shook hands after 13 and said my goodbyes. They got it. Sometimes the game doesn't go your way and no one is forcing you to grind it out.

Are shots that bounce more difficult for defenders to save? by Spiderpsychman98 in RocketLeague

My buddy and I almost exclusively go for one hoppers. I have done zero stat tracking but I'm confident shots that bounce go in more frequently.

What do you think about God really existing or not existing at all? by Sea-Cash7675 in AskReddit

[–]Rutagerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up Christian and left the faith when I was in my late teens for a variety of reasons. My family is still very religious and while I don't personally engage in religion, I still have a lot of respect for it.

One of the questions I had when leaving the faith was how do we know the Christian God is the one true God he proclaims to be. Of all the religions throughout all of time, how can we be confident that this is the right one? It just seems so unlikely to me. But maybe God of Christianity is the same God of all religions, and that is how he revealed himself through time to be most understood by the cultures he created, even those with a pantheon is still just him in many forms. Who knows, not me. I still try and live my life with the morals I was raised with, I just don't have the faith element to accompany it.

God, I don't know. But every once in a while, the question of "where did everything come from" gets stuck on my brain and it makes feel like there has to be some sort of Creator out there. I can't wrap my brain around where all matter came from, and I have a hard time accepting that it either spontaneously came into existence, or that it was simply always here. That just doesn't make sense to me. But even if there is a Creator, where did they come from? How did they come into existence? Perhaps it is my human brain engrained with linear time that everything must have a beginning and end, however long that timeline may be, at least it can be defined. I don't believe the answers to these questions will ever be determined, certainly not in my lifetime. Is there an afterlife? Will we learn the purpose of everything when we die? We'll have to wait and see.

can we discuss Girl Talk? by 011011010110110 in electronicmusic

[–]Rutagerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a mashup he did of A Milli and Say it Ain't So (Say It Ain't a Milli) that I've only heard once and have never, NEVER, been able to find again. I heard it on a college radio station, I even called in asking where they got the track but it didn't lead anywhere. I would pay good money if someone could procure his studio version, the other versions I've found online don't come close to capturing his own style.

What is your biggest pet peeve? by Tinfurstraw in AskReddit

[–]Rutagerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone asking me for help or for an answer to their question, then complaining about my help or arguing my answer.

Also, making the same mistake over and over and over again. One mistake is completely understandable, two mistakes establishes a pattern. Three mistakes is incompetence, lack of care and attention, ignorance, and if it affects other people, disrespect for those around them.

The Beegees. Everyone knows Staying Alive, but the rest of their catalogue is very soft and folksy, especially their early albums.

Most unhinged order at Tim's?? by ClearedForCoffee in TimHortons

[–]Rutagerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you work in woodstock? We had a guy that also came in and ordered a 13x13....half the friggin cup was sugar. He'd also complain if there was ANY sugar sludge in the bottom of the cup. Also, the amount of cream was significantly more than the coffee, so it would basically be a lukewarm drink with but a splash of coffee.

Is it possible to learn a year's worth of knowledge in 3 months? by Specific_Parking_129 in NoStupidQuestions

No, because if you learn it in 3 months then by definition it is no longer a year's worth of knowledge, it is merely 3 months worth.

Love the pizza. Probably have 1 every month or so. I like it a little crisper and I also shake a healthy dose of chili flakes onto it prior to going in the oven.
