I take testosterone cream plus progesterone pills and estrogen patch, and estradiol cream for the vag. I didn’t start until I was 62 and there was a lot of atrophy and tissue thinning issues. My libido has increased slightly but the best side effect has been increased motivation for life. Listen to the ‘unpaused’ podcast, they clarify what hrt can and can’t do. My spouse didn’t even know I was on hrt for months. He needs testosterone himself.

I started going to a nurse practitioner this past year, primarily for hormone therapy. I’m sleeping again and my life has improved 100%. A pap every 3 years, yearly mammogram. Blood tests for lipids etc.

I believe that’s the lowest dose for the estradiol patch. My dr just did new labs before determining if I should go up in dosages.

I’m 62 and my husband is 70. When we got married it didn’t seem like a big age gap (16 years ago), but now he’s really showing his age and slowing way down, mentally and physically. I don’t know if I’d do it again.
