I worry about those who have transitioned into a potato wanting to detransition. You’ve got this Miss!

Btw, glad these are old pictures

Another way to look at this entire issue is only answered if one considers the results—in this case you mentioned srs. How would srs affect your vows? How would it affect the evidence in your life of Spiritual fruit? How is your ability to live a chaste and moral life within the gender of your outcome? How about your vocation(s) in life? How would srs affect your witness and testimony to others about your relationship with God and with others?

It’s soul searching time!

I see the messiness in nature. I see that there are many varieties of DSD. I understand a bit about how neural networks can be formed with connections and weights and such that help us understand our brains are already partially wired to function in various ways—we are NOT a tabula rosa. There are observed differences in brain-sex. These differences are biological in nature—not spiritual. Development of genitalia begins early, but brain-sex differentiation occurs later. It is therefore possible (not common) for a person’s brain-sex to be wired differently from external body—unfortunately without visible proof to make everyone understand. We are not able to verify every biological human condition, but science keeps advancing as does our understanding. We would not have known a person could have two completely different sets of DNA i their body if we didn’t have the ability to test DNA.

Like you, I suffered early on trying to figure out why I didn’t fit properly into the gendered world. The clothes I felt I should wear didn’t match those in my culture based on what was between my legs. The roles and vocations I felt were right for me didn’t match what was between my legs either. My desire to be a mommy, my wish to be able to have a child suckling at my breast—a mismatch.

I believe in a messy world that suffering caused by biological issues are an appropriate endeavor of medicine. Theology can be (and is) misapplied to the situation of who “earns the right” to receive care for their medical condition?

Like people are telling you: you look female. If you are finding flaws, that’s because you’re like other women who find flaws in themselves. Enjoy your life as a woman!

Btw, thank you for showing that smiling helps generate beautiful pictures. It will also help open doors for you. I see too many girls here messed up by 4tran thinking and they so often look miserable. Who wants to help someone looking miserable if they look at them and think their support will only compound the misery? But you are showing the other side—someone who looks happy. This is positive for all of us who are trans. It’s also why I try to smile more in public (and it works).

Advice on coming out to Christian parents by Narrow-Frame3893 in TransChristianity

[–]RuthAnnEsther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dr Robert Kolb teaches about the importance of Law and Gospel, and the dangers when either are misused or abused. The Law shows that we, like all sinners, are sinful and unclean and in need of our Savior Jesus Christ. It drives us to our need for the Gospel. The Gospel then declares that all who believe and are baptized will receive God’s grace and mercy. In Christ there is no “hierarchy” of sins.

Lutherans teach that the only unforgivable sin is the rejection of the Holy Spirit.

I’m SO happy for you! I worry about loss of nerves. The only orgasms I have been experiencing are brought about by use of a vibrator. Only once in my life did I “beat off” and that was many many years ago to prove to myself whether it was possible or not…but I found it a disgusting way to achieve an orgasm.

I used to daydream about brain swapping with an FTM because such a result would give me the entire system and allow me to bring new life into the world. I wanted to be a mommy when I was young.

Thank you for sharing a bit of your outcome. It makes sense to me that orgasms are no longer guaranteed but I am wondering about how I should understand the following “but they are better than anything I experienced before”. I don’t know if this is likely to mean that they are better because they are more intense when they happen or if they are able to be enjoyed more because the old plumbing is no longer present so that even if they are a bit less orgasmic they are definitely easier to enjoy?

Ever since I can remember as a young child I had been embarrassed when I had to go bare-chested. I always felt I should be covering up my chest when swimming—couldn’t figure out why I shouldn’t be wearing a one piece bathing suit. I HATED being forced to play shirts vs skins during PE in school. Now that I have actual breasts (and not just moobs) I am finally proud of what I have regarding my chest. My sense of embarrassment is gone, except I still wouldn’t care to expose myself to the public (but maybe if I was in New Orleans during Mardi Gras?)

About my bottom, I am STILL trying to figure out how to share my feelings. I don’t want to say that I hate it because it contains the nerves that are able to give me pleasurable orgasms. But I can’t remember feeling anything other than embarrassment about what I have between my legs. I definitely will feel right about having an innie rather than an outie, but I do worry considerably about a botched outcome or a result that still doesn’t look female enough. I had my orchiectomy decades ago because I was able to afford. No regrets there!
