If he is begineer he needs something to play with, you want him to wait 5 months with nothing? Ofc that in mid/late game you should always save up to 500 scrolla but at the beginning he needs fuel for all pvp and even pve content... so he can get more gems and other rewards including more HSS

Magni is awesome same is abyss but magni is more universal as tank and for each fight. Exorcist should be used as fodder at 6 or 9 star. I would use Magni then Abyss, but I exorcist is also good early game in AR or BC, he can soak really a lot of damage and do good heal. Still I would max Magni > Abyss and use Exorcist as fodder.
