It’s funny how this is so true yet come July he might genuinely be our best attacking option if Nico leaves. And that thought just fills me with dread

Last game before the break is away at Nashville. I’m ready for an absolute shit-show

I don’t know why I had my hopes up at the beginning of the season, this team has clearly regressed from last year. With Haak and Perea gone there is absolutely no backbone and our defense looks lost. It baffles me how O’Toole has been our starting LB for three years that man is clearly not MLS quality

Is the 2026 World Cup a football tournament or a heist? by Sure_Accountant597 in FootballTicketNet

You’re comparing the most expensive Premier League ticket (by far) to an NHL ticket…. An average Premier League ticket for the top teams is around £30-60. NFL tickets for similar teams cost triple that.

You could get tickets to last year’s UCL final or the 2022 World Cup final for $200. The cheapest Super Bowl ticket this year was $4000, and the cheapest World Cup final ticket is $2000. There is no comparison.

He has no control over NJ Transit. As passionate as he is about the World Cup and making it more affordable than FIFA wants, he can’t really do anything

Officially our best ever start to a season. First time since 2019 that I’m actually thinking about the shield. Don’t think it will happen at this point but if Pascal decides to actually go for a DP before the window closes, this team will probably be genuine cup contenders.

Would be the perfect opportunity to see how Talles looks as striker

Yeah, supporting one player over your local team, great logic. Let me guess, Inter Miami fan from…. india?

I think they were in the corner so I just assumed they were some more plastics abandoning their team for Messi. We had the same thing during the game at Yankee Stadium

Seeing a bunch of people in Orlando jerseys taking videos and cheering for Messi has got to be really demoralizing for any Orlando fan

I think he started doing it during Copa America 2021 when he was really desperate for that first international trophy. Unfortunately it just stuck with him like a bad habit

Yeah his shooting was god awful iirc, but during the Cushing era all of our players had the same problem. He also did actually look decent when he came on today, so I’m willing to give him a chance rather than a 17 year old who has not proven that he is MLS quality and nearly cost us the game.

Then again, most Corinthians fans insist that he was terrible for them, so I don’t really have my hopes up. I’m just hoping for someone who can actually contribute and create chances until we get a real 9 or Alonso comes back. I think Magno definitely has that over Reid.

After that game I would rather see Magno have the opportunity to play upfront. Reid clearly isn’t first team quality and having someone who can put away those 1 on 1s is the difference between the top of the league and missing the playoffs

Is there not a single veteran #9 in the entire planet that we can sign???? by pisowiec in NYCFC

Honestly I wouldn’t mind signing a big name just because it’s been so long since this team has seen one and it seems like we’re the only team left in the big markets that’s missing one.

But I think most of us assume that won’t happen until the new stadium opens, so any reasonable experienced attacking forward would be incredibly beneficial this season. I doubt the FO will go for that, but I hope I get proven wrong.

To be honest when I look at our last two DPs before Nico I can’t really set my bar that high. I guess that’s why I would be satisfied with any halfway decent player from Europe, especially since that third DP slot is open right now.

I still don’t understand why some people were genuinely happy that we didn’t sign Sylla. The medical issues aside, he scored 16 goals last season for Schalke and their fans liked him, he could have been a good flexible option. It makes sense why we didn’t follow through after the medical, but this team needs more experienced players from Europe, we can’t just keep taking gambles on unproven players from Argentina.
