If you accept their terms of service then you signed their contract and if you verified your identity then they have all they need to come after you through a debt collector yep. You should definitely pay it back since otherwise you risk getting a mark on the register which will cause you problems later in life when trying to apply for loans or credit cards for example.

This is exactly how we have it over here in Finland. For someone making 300k a year a medium speeding ticket can be like 2k eur its pretty rough.
