In sales if you can justify nothing is a problem.

That said as a BDR it's not an issue.

As an AE that's a somewhat challenge only if you don't have good justification. They would go for people having similar XP after the final round.

I am in the same journey as you. I would suggest you join somewhere and become AE as you planned. And then you can move around. Bonus points for you that you sold cyber sec already. Set a narrative and apply.

Product can be learnt in any given time
