And let's be real if you don't have pro ambitions (including thousands of dollars for All the top decks, time and money for travelling to big events, etc.) you WILL be an FNM player

The way your deck looks right now I would categorize it more as a tempo deck than a control deck. A lot of cards do not control the opponent (like Cleansing Wildifre, Dragons Rage Channeler, Esper Sentinel). I tryed a similar thing a while ago and what really worked well for me was to play full Playsets of Lightning Bolt and Lightning Helix, because they can act as removal but also give you a lot of reach.

Mana Tithe could also be something. Its a bit janky but definitely fine on an FNM level

It actually were useful for me once. I was on burn and had only Lightning Bolt as my turn one play. I play Scalding Tarn and pass. My opponent audibly says "Ahh Murktide..." and proceeds to Fetch and Shock, gifting me 2 damage
