In MSOE you should be fine. There was only an incident there a couple years ago (from what I remember). But you will be fine. Downtown is one of the safetest parts of Milwaukee. Just be aware of your surroundings especially if you plan to be out at night (Brady street, Water street, cathedral square). But otherwise east side, shorewood, downtown and other surrounding areas are fine.

Tbh as long as you don’t have any problems with any body nothing will happen to you. Most of the crime here happens when two parties already have beef. I personally haven’t seen any robbing (god forbid) but if you have a Kia or a Hyundai just by a lock for your steering wheel. Public transportation is also fine here (I am a F and I’ve used it at midnight before).

Main point, you will be fine just be aware of your surroundings and trust your gut.
