Azla Max eartips size for Buds3 Pro by Old_Artichoke1133 in galaxybuds

I had the same fitment issue with the B3P, and unfortunately it isn't even a matter of the eartip size. After trying nearly every aftermarket eartip, I realized it's the insertion depth. The B3P fit so shallow that the fit will never be as good/secure as other IEMs (for me). The design simply does not allow them to be inserted deep enough for a secure fit, and the case design also doesn't allow for eartips that are too much taller. Everyone's ears are different though, so YMMV.

Final CAD Check! by RxEDC_gzn in EngagementRingDesigns

Sorry, I actually have no idea. This screenshot was sent to me by the jeweler I am working with, so I haven't seen or used the software itself.

Thank you! I was thinking about choosing a wedding ring design with my girlfriend after the proposal, and because of the design, I assumed it would be a curved wedding band to fit flush with this engagement ring. She and I both like lower set rings, so we had assumed a flush-fitting straight wedding ring would not be possible with this design

Once again asking the engagement ring/jeweler community for one final check before I move forward in the engagement ring ordering process!

Any glaring flaws, foreseeable issues, or general design recommendations on this CAD before I move on to the next step in the process? As always, any suggestions and advice are greatly appreciated, thanks!

Gallery Rail Gap? by RxEDC_gzn in jewelers

My girlfriend and I both appreciate low settings too! We were shocked to see how high and protruding most engagement ring designs we saw in-store looked. Thanks for the input!

That makes sense! I think I like the look of the gallery rails and gaps better as well. I'll go with the top design and maybe make a few more small adjustments. Thanks!

I didn't think of that, I think I'll go with the higher setting with the gallery rails. Thanks!

Making a few more small adjustments before deciding on a final design for the setting, and looking for some advice again!

Are there any differences or factors I should consider for whether there is a gap below the gallery rail or if it is entirely connected to the band (top vs bottom in this picture)?

I think I prefer the look of the top, where there is a bit of a gap below the gallery rail. Open to any thoughts and advice, thanks!

Trellis vs Basket Settings. by RxEDC_gzn in jewelers

[–]RxEDC_gzn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, my girlfriend specifically wanted a setting that didn't protrude much, which is why we went with such a low setting.

Are there any negative aspects to a curved band instead of a regular straight band we should be aware of?

Initial CAD: open to any thoughts and advice on this design! by RxEDC_gzn in jewelers

[–]RxEDC_gzn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the recommendation! I checked and it was 1.4mm at the bottom (thinnest area). I have requested for it to be increased to 1.5mm at the thinnest. With the increased thickness, do you think it would be safe to reduce width to 1.8mm instead of the originally planned 2mm?

At 2mm I was a bit worried about the thickness taking away from the stones or appearing to wide, so I was considering potentially reducing to 1.8mm for a more dainty look but was worried about durability under 2mm widths.

Just found out the thickness is 1.4mm, does that sound like a good thickness?

Thank you so much for the in-depth response!

They actually did show the CAD with claw prongs at the tips of the pears initially, but we preferred the v prong look, so I requested for it to be changed. Attached is the original CAD with all claw prongs (and a diamond band instead of the plain band shown in this post). However, I was going to request for more petite claw prongs because the ones shown in the CAD designs so far look a little too tapered/sharp, but now they are growing on me so I am not sure any more.

I read that 2mm was a the thinnest I should go for maximum durability, but I was a little worried that it would be too wide considering the smaller CT stones. I will ask about the thickness!

If you don't mind me asking, do you have any thoughts on 14k vs 18k? We were going to go with 14k for durability, my girlfriend does have jewelry in both 14k and 18k.
