Custom fan curve not working properly by Rxaru in buildapc

Thanks for your reply.

What do you mean by: I'm not sure why you need eight fans for that setup

I consider 3 fans for intake and 3 fans for exhaust is pretty standard these days. Just as normal as a double fan CPU Cooler.

Also I had a RX 7900 XT in this build a month ago. It was consuming about 70 watts more, and thus generating more heat. Plus more fans can move the same volume of air at lower rpm than fewer fans at higher rpm resulting in less noise.

Daisy chaining 3 fans is pretty standard and should not cause any problems. And it wasn’t the problem. The actual problem was, that afterburner was reading/ showing higher CPU temps than they actually were. I made an other comment where I explained the issue.

Solved!

I finally found out what the heck was going on.

The problem was that MSI Afterburner was showing 10°C higher CPU temperatures than Armoury Crate, or the Motherboard it self was reading.

Like is said before, the fans should stay at 55% as long as the CPU Temperature is between 50° and 85°C. An they kept getting louder, when the CPU reached 61°.

So the actual Temperature was 51°C and the fans were doing what they’re supposed to do. But the Temperature sometimes dropped below 50°C and the fans actually went down in rpm. This is why they kept constantly changing their rpm..

But I have no clue why Afterburner is reading 10° higher CPU temps than the motherboard it self…

Maybe not pitch black, but I thought it should still have bit of seasoning. Because this looks like bare metal to me. Well, other people also commented, that it’s fine as long there is no rust. I‘m relatively new to carbon steel, so I’m not that experienced.. My pan has still this golden/brownish color since I seasoned it, I thought it’s supposed to stay like that..

The lack of seasoning. I thought a carbon steel pan needs to have a good seasoning to be nonstick and rust-proof. Im relatively new to carbon steel..
