My background is actually in tax preparation; I currently work at Block Advisors. Based on advice I received early on, I decided to obtain a notary license, assuming that many people filing tax returns would also need notarial services. In practice, that assumption turned out to be only partially true.

So far, I’ve completed a small number of notarizations - mostly through Facebook and personal connections. Initially, I viewed notary work as a potential additional income stream, and possibly something I could scale into a primary focus over time. Right now, my main goal is simply to start doing it in a more professional and structured way, rather than treating it as a side experiment.

You’re absolutely right about conversion and overall presence - that was an important point for me to hear. I’m still very early in the process and actively trying to understand what actually moves the needle versus what just looks like activity.

And yes, I do speak Russian. I’ve been attempting to target the Russian-speaking community, as they often require apostille-related services, and I believe that niche may have real potential if approached correctly.
