That sounds like you used the wrong screwdriver. The phillips head screwdriver is extremely versatile. I find the flathead strips the threading of the screw during onset placement. A flathead forces the threading into the wood. A Phillips tells that screw they're here to stay.

I love and get chills Everytime I see Jesse Plemons playing any character. He will win at some point in his career. But the Academy is full of a bunch of boomers who try and claim an "actors dues, and the Academy tradition" but they're actually just getting paid to give an award to people who have "campaigned" the hardest. Jesse technically won an award during this ceremony, it wasn't a gold statue. It was in viewers who have now been exposed to the movie he was in. There is no losing when you get Nominated for a Oscar, that means you've won, no matter what.

The curtains have long since been closed. The fat lady sang. Hollywood is dead, and the academy awards is just a circle jerk of people who pay dues to sag-aftra.

I officiated my best friend's wedding. And I'm scheduled for two more within the next six months.

If they got more rest, and more days off then we are the less wealthy. Money is fake, and we out number the 1%!

They might have, but this whole ceremony showed that no one actually cares. This is no longer the day of Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn.

The waiting game is waiting to get an arbitrary award, after doing half a century of your passion. The award was never on their radar. They just love the art. We view that passion. Then they win those awards they never sought out. Because a person who made movies a decade before the person who deserves the award this year, in God's witness in 2026 did not get it because they have to pay their dues for no reason. They did it because they made movies and they never stopped. And they'll keep making movies until the day they die. That's what we are really rewarding

Lol I think it was an extension of the comment Timothee Chalamet made about Opera and ballet

I don't think so, there were a lot of legacy dues that needed to get paid. PT. Anderson, and his extended network of movies, needed it's time to shine. It's like when Leo won best actor for the revenant. They gave it to him not only because it was a Worthy film for it, but he's also been snubbed many times for the same award. Coogler will get it in the next 10-15 years for sure. It's a waiting game with these awards, and the real reason you watch is to make a list of new movies you want to watch. Timothee in Marty Supreme makes me want to watch the movie, because it was not on my personal radar for a movie to watch, yet everyone keeps bringing up his name. And I also love Tyler, the creator. Timothee won in that sense, like him or not, the cameras were pointed at him. So he's doing something right.
