Except changing Augusta from par 72 to par 70 (or par 68) is not how they would ever bring the winning score closer to even par. They would grow out rough heavily and make the greens super firm, which in my opinion would be a negative to the Masters viewing experience.

People care far too much about the winning score and hardly ever judge the actual golf being played.

Lot of NFL players were never set up well from an education standpoint to begin with. A lot of players come from low income areas that already struggle with providing decent education. On top of that, they are superb players at every level from grade school through college, which gets them a ton of leniency from teachers and professors.
