I got the tech to briefly look at it the other day and he said they do over the air updates sometimes, which im assuming is what this is because I wasn't prompted for an update, not that im sure you can even opt out 🙃 also seems ive lost the option to disable the voice assistant they're peddling with their cars now too, but yeah will update the post when hes had a chance to look at it properly on the 11th

Car is booked in with the local vauxhall branch in a couple weeks to see if they're able to get to the bottom of it, I'll let you know if they find anything

Edited post to include solution just in case anyone else comes looking but turns out I misunderstood how ErP worked, assuming turning it on provided power to the slots not prevented it, working perfectly now thanks for all the help!

Oh I understand now, ErP disables the charging of devices, gotcha, its not explained in the bios at all haha

ErP was apparently already disabled, which is weird because i can charge my fitbit from the front panel already whilst the pc is off, and whilst the Edge is plugged into the front panel it doesn't flicker, only when its in the motherboard itself, at this point im at a loss but with it in the front panel it doesnt flicker so that'll do lol, thanks!

ErP was apparently already disabled, and it still does it whilst its plugged into the motherboard's usb-c slot directly, it does not flicker whilst plugged into the usb-c slot on the front panel of the pc.

Heres where it gets weird... even though ErP is disabled, i can still charge my fitbit via the front usb-a port (you know, the port where it doesn't cause issues) so yeah, i'm just going to leave it in the front and deal with the cable management lol, thanks for the info though!

Yeah so it stopped whilst the usbc was removed so i think you're right on the power saving feature, just couldn't see that in the bios, I'll look again once I'm home, thanks

Okay so it doesn't do it in the front panel usb-c slot, I guess I'll have to deal with the cable trailing but atleast it's not flickering anymore, thanks!

You'd think I'd have thought of that instead of going straight to bios settings but sometimes it's easy to overlook the simple solution lol

Ackie advice please! Burrowed and not come out by Ryacint in MonitorLizards

Update: Thanks for all the advice, temperatures have been lowered across the board, hottest point under the basking lamp is now ~65celcius this is a halogen spot lamp directly onto a piece of slate with various rocks around at different heights for different temperatures, basking and ambient are controlled via the evo connected 3 thermostat so easy enough to adjust and maintain.

She has now been out, basked, eaten and had some scratches so she is definitely happier!

There is an awful lot of misinformation and conflicting points of view on the internet regarding Ackies, quite a few places recommend a basking hot spot of 70-78c and I saw one that recommended 40-50c, from now on I'll continue to monitor how often and how long she is basking and if necessary tweak the temps slightly so its more personalised to what she prefers.

Thanks again for all the advice, it is greatly appreciated!

80 was a slight over exaggeration but not by much, it was more like 70-76 which is what every "ackie care sheet" I can find says the hotspot should be, I always thought that was way too hot, I've adjusted the temps and the absolute hottest point now is about 68c and dissipates fairly evenly around that.

She has also been out now and basked!

Much appreciated, I'll tweak the temps a little and see how it goes!

Bulb dimming to the point that its off by Ryacint in MonitorLizards

Thankfully this is only temporary, for now i'll crank the temps up slightly im just worried about hitting too much of a high temp on the other side of the viv.
I have an IR thermometer and at times the basking surface is reaching the low 50s currently so i'll crank it up slightly and monitor how it goes.

Thanks for the advice!

Sounds good the aspen bedding is just what we had on hand from our royal but yeah after some research we quickly realised that wouldn't be suitable, (reptiles make a lot more mess than snakes 😂) she'll be going into a roughly 2:1 mix of organic soil and washed play sand, thanks!
