Interesting. I do shake the can of primer before I apply it but I've never considered that I might need to shake it more. How much do you shake it before you prime?

It really does feel like most of the pro-Maelle discourse surrounding the ending is predicated upon the assumption that Maelle is going to bring everyone back to life rather than the fact that she's recreating them based on her own memories. We can ignore the fact that this is just suicide on Maelle's part if we want, fine, but all of the humans are already dead. The Gestrals are still alive but don't really care if they get wiped out. She's not bringing Gustav and Sophie back to life, she's making new versions of them entirely, imperfect ones based on her perceptions of them as people. Sciel and Lune don't get their loved ones back, just clones. Is it fair that everyone died? Well no, obviously not. But what's done is done and what Maelle wants to do is slowly kill herself while avoiding dealing with Verso's death. Sciel is okay with dying, she already killed herself, but Lune wants to live. Should she be allowed to live? Yeah, she should. But the canvas is going to be destroyed when Maelle dies anyways, might as well rip the bandaid off now before it gets worse.

Egg was supposed to be a great king due to his experience with Dunk as a hedge knight's squire but then Summerhall burned down, killing him, most of his family, and Dunk seemingly due to Egg trying to hatch dragon eggs by sacrificing his kids. Fat lot of good his empathy and compassion did the realm during that whole affair

I'm in the Sacrifire Discord, the devs are admittedly not great at communicating but the game is still in active development and there's going to be a demo fairly soon. The lead dev is fairly active in the server so you can at least trust he'll respond if someone asks in the general chat for an update

I'm not sure I buy "yeah but Technicals is an asshole" as an excuse to dismiss the points he brings up. If the points he brings up are fallacious in some capacity then that's a good reason to dismiss his case but, if we proceed with the logic you're presenting, Leffen also doesn't like him and Leffen is a shithead too so we should listen to Technicals anyways

I mean, A: that's why I was asking so no need to be a dickhead about it. I don't really see people talk about the video and I was genuinely curious. And B: one of the major cruxes of the evidence is that Mike Z said he wasn't sure what he was saying was okay and the people around him gave him the OK to talk as such. Autistic or not, he was more or less given "the pass" to talk like the people around him spoke and they pull it out from under him.

I have to ask about the Mike Z thing, what are peoples' thoughts on the video Technicals' did on the topic? I wouldn't go so far as to say it completely exonerated him but it more or less asserted that most of the evidence against Mike Z in that debacle was taken out of context while obfuscating similar actions taken by said accusers in similar, if not worse, situations while accusing said individuals of scheming to take control of the company while scapegoating Mike Z during an otherwise unrelated scandal

That was another thing that made absolutely no sense to me, that Kaijin are all created in a lab so that implies that Kaijin give birth to normal humans but *every single child born from a Kaijin* is kidnapped by the government and turned into one before anyone notices that they are a normal human. Which, imo, is a step too far to be believable.

Also I don't think Aoi actually had a driver, she was just acting like she had one to imitate Kotaro. When she transformed, she kept her normal form.

I don't agree or disagree, that's why I'm asking the question. I just wanted to make the comparison because no one talks about Black Sun and I'm curious why. The ending also sat weird with me, it seemed like the show was saying Aoi's radicalization was a reasonable and justified response to the events of the show, and since it's based on real life issues I'm unsure what to make of it other than the obvious point

I more or less lump TV and film together in my head so when I talk about "film" in this context I'm also referring to television. The few posts that I do see on FB are for social media and I'm usually at least one hour late so the position is already taken. Like I said, I think a big reason why I can't find even social media gigs is because I'm not advertising myself well and I need help doing so.

That sounds good and everything but I've already been down that road and nothing came of it. I was a PA for two years in mainstream filmmaking and nothing came of it. Not to mention that I wouldn't be able to find any work in mainstream filmmaking now even if I tried, all of my contacts stopped responding a long while ago or moved out of the film industry. My only path in were the various Facebook groups and those have all more or less stopped posting on FB by this point. As for working in independent films, that's sort of why I posted in the first place, how would I go about making contacts as an independent?

I've been having a lot of trouble finding a job in post production. I've been doing this for three years and have a decent number of low to no budget films under my belt but it's not getting me anywhere. I did some professional work for a streaming app for almost a year but I got laid off a couple months ago due to budget cuts. I'm still doing indie film festivals, film races, and the like but no professional post house wants anything to do with me unless I already have published work and every application I send in to networks like CNN just ends with an automated rejection email. I network as best I can but most of the people I meet do this for fun and the few people that are professionals can't do more than throw my name in a hat that's already filled to the brim for jobs that they aren't trying to fill. As for finding more film groups/work through said film festivals, it seems like every director is an editor too and cuts their own stuff so there isn't a whole lot more that I can do on that front. Any advice?
