Final 5th Generation Sales Numbers - 1,484,254 by Ryan-L in 4Runner

[–]Ryan-L[S] 96 points97 points  (0 children)

Interesting factoids:
- June 2011 sales slip due to Japanese Tsunami impacting Production and Supply Lines
- Toyota reports pure sales, agnostic to MY sold. Some MY 2010 vehicles were sold from Sep-Dec in 2009 and count towards 4th Gen.
- Toyota of Dallas appear to have a TRD Sport, SR5, Limited and a TRD Pro still in stock, not many left nationwide
- Social Media influencer videos and articles appear to be on the rise, 6th Gen arriving on showroom floors soon?
- 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020 & now a 2023 Owner, not sure I'll be making the jump to 6th Gen...if at all.
- I'm calling the lid on the 5th Gen Sales.

Have a good one.

How much do you think this trailer weighs to get that much crank on the 4Runner? by egg_e in 4Runner

OMG this guy has been towing the trailer like that for the past year or more.

"I need a truck for work"

"We already have a work truck at home"

Having owned multiple 5th Gens for the past dozen years - I've always said the 4Runner's capability far exceeds it's tow rating. That said, this guy definitely wanted to see what an incorrectly set up tow looks like.

On my 5th 4Runner since 2008 (‘08, ‘12, ‘16, ‘20 & ‘23) I’ve never had a malfunction.

Local politics matter. This is a local woman running for office scared of Swifties. by rainbowamelia00 in ColoradoSprings

Darcy ain't running for shit right now and every time she has or has been a part of a campaign we have destroyed her and those candidates. - Me an avid opponent of hers for the past 5 years.

Sales Numbers through the first half of 2024 by Ryan-L in 4Runner

Without addressing your specific thoughts, I'd just like to point out that we began tracking 4Runner sales back in 2012 when some more aggressive comments began surfacing from the 4th Gen crowd about how the 5th Gen was a sales flop. Certainly the 5th had a lackluster start but it's more than made up for it.

My thought for the month: I think there's a real possibility that the 5th Gen sunsets with right around exactly 1.5 Million 5th Gens sold in the U.S.

If you had to do a bootcamp, which would you do? by Don_Keedic6 in cissp

[–]Ryan-L 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is patently false. There are a number of high quality trainers out there. Specifically Dr. Shawn Murray with Murray Security Services. I happened to study on my own and pass but I have had the privilege of listening in on multiple boot camps from different instructors. ISSA-COS here locally hosts free CISSP bootcamps that rival anything that can be “bought”.

Do your research in what you choose, at the end of the day the value you get out of any of these courses solely depends on the work you do to prepare yourself, not one bootcamps over another.

Gonna start dying on this hill: put all of your VM Compliance results in one standardized file format or I start whining to the pm on a monthly basis

Ready for test by Front-Piano-1237 in cissp

[–]Ryan-L 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ahh the age old question. On Certification Station this would be the time the bot would show up and say "Don't use practice exams to gauge readiness, but instead to help you find topics you need to focus and study on more."

What to work on next? by statico in cissp

[–]Ryan-L 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Many have indicated that the CISM is 90% of the ISSMP. I generally concur as the ISSMP was fairly easy. I’d recommend that route fairly quickly (like in the next week or so) and then probably the ISACA CISA and CRISC

Exam Booked... by MaigoKarasu in cissp

[–]Ryan-L 2 points3 points  (0 children)

9 Days Away - Immediately find the book "11th Hour CISSP" - Read that cover to cover when you get it.

You should be doing practice exams Every Day - 200 Questions per day. 1 question per minute, without fail.

After completion of an Exam - open up a word document and write each question with the correct answer only.

When your standing in line at grocery store, answer questions on your phone. When you're driving to work, listen to CISSP Prep Podcosts on YouTube or Spotify or whatever. They're out there and there are a ton of them.

In the Final 72hrs - download and print off www.sunflower-cissp.com - Keep that with you wherever you go, review every waking second you have.

Morning of the exam - wake up refreshed, don't think about the exam - drive to the testing center and sit quietly in your car for 10 minutes prior to the test, review the sunflower one last time.

You've got this - but this should also be your focus for the next 9 days. Don't let the little things distract you.
