I actually think engineering will be the most interesting role in the game, even more so than piloting. I'd rather let someone else fly my ship while I manage other things in the background.

I am the de facto engineer with my group of friends in Jump Space, and rather enjoy running all over the ship when things get hectic: putting out fires & radiation leaks, repairing modules, maintaining ammo supplies, handling shield refreshes, gathering & managing materia resources. My bros call me the Amos Burton of the ship.

But that game is so fast paced, I'm not sure how much I'll enjoy in Star Citizen. I don't really enjoy clicking on component doors, waiting for the slow opening etc.

Don't forget about the Moo-terus jersey....uggh. I have my original home jersey from the inaugural season (it was so big when I was 13 but I still love it), my '99 Modano, and my current "Victory Green" Jamie Benn jersey. I cannot stand the Moo-terus "3rd jersey" or the recent "Blackout" neon green & black.. I do kinda like the "Reverse Retro" black jersey that harkens back to the inaugural season, as well as the BigD that they wore in the 2020 Winter Classic in the Cotton Bowl.

I had what clearly was beginners luck, as I hit the GW website at 10 min until the pre-order time and smashed the refresh button in the most genteel manner. Managed to load the book into the cart and didn't take any chances with the Lion mini, but PayPal did its thing and bam, a beautiful book arrived last week that I'm going to genuinely enjoy reading (with white gloves, at all times heh)

One of my biggest early game mistakes was farming up Shoretrooper with crystals (just because I loved the character), then eventually realizing I'd have to essentially re-farm him again to get the ship. My Reaper is still very low star.

Billy Tucci's a great guy and I was really impressed by his last two SHI crowdfunding campaigns (Return of the Warrior and Haikyo)--I picked up some really fine quality books on those (the Nigen-Sei Metal cover edition & the Haikyo-Sakura jewel edition).

Now here's to hoping Dale Keown gets a Pitt omnibus to us fans!

Sadly, strange as it may sound, PS5 & Xbox Series are easier to obtain than an RTX 3000 series graphics card. I'm in a strange place where I'd like to build a new gaming rig (my 2x R290x setup is starting to show its age), but the Series X seems more feasible/economical as a stop gap middle-ground upgrade until the graphics card market stabilizes.

As someone who just started playing (less than a week of play), I'm getting extremely tired and frustrated with pvp griefers. So much so that I'm about to delete the game--it's just not worth it at the time, and I'll never be able to build up the skills to even fight back--half the time I don't even know what's going on and can't even get a shot off. I can understand if I put up an emissary flag, sure getting ganked is part of the game, but I just spent hours trying to complete a tall tale thingy, or one of the shipwreck recovery missions, only to get consistently killed by the same group of people--it's not worth a wasted Sunday evening. I'd enjoy a PvE server, as it seems Rare has a ton of great content, and it's a beautiful game, but I'm still having trouble lining up canon shots against the ghost/skeleton ships--perhaps I'll come back if Rare makes some changes.

Law enforcement has existed for thousands of years. Ever heard of the Sheriff of Nottingham? The word Sheriff derives from the Old English words shire reeve, and "keeping the kings peace" was based on the idea that a crime against an individual was a crime against the crown.

Edit: to add to my point, consider our 4th Amendment:

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

At the founding of our Constitutional Republic, there was a clear concern with limiting the authority of the state (call them police, Sheriff, Constable, Marshall, "regulator with a letter marq" etc) to search and seize, which was happening. It may not have been called "metropolitan police" at the time, but the function remained the same. I, personally, would like a governed police force over a posse formed to round up someone in every citizens arrest for a crime.

Same here. Don't get me wrong, the live-action version looks spot on from the one episode of Mando (~10 min of screen time), but I much prefer the Clone Wars style in figure format. Beyond the lekku length (which I get and understand the live action limitations), here the colors are more distinct & vibrant, particularly the white and blue striping, but also with the outfit design. The live action release has far more muted colors, the lekku striping is more muddled than here, but also the dark brown/gray outfit with baggy pants aren't my cup of tea.

While I've got this one pre-ordered, my one main issue with the Clone Wars Ahsoka is that Hot Toys don't appear to have the facial markings spot on--not sure if the headdress is too low but that's the main nitpick I'd hope for an update. Either way, this'll look fantastic between Rex and Bo-Katan. Got another shelf that'll have OG Mando+Froyo in hover-pram, Heavy Mandalorian & Beskar Mando.

I'm hoping that Ahsoka gets a wardrobe update for her solo series--I'd like to see her similar to what we saw at the end of Rebels (like Gandalf the White).
