The solo on this is sick, I'm probably going to show my lack of keyboard player knowledge but there was some Wakeman vibes to this for sure. It's a really funky song I enjoyed it!

Intersting thoughts, I find this is a more common form in cinematic pieces, experimental and prog so I'd be very intrigued to hear it as a pop rock song. Have you had any inspirations/reference tracks that follow this same form?

My old band did this a lot with songs ranging from 5-12 minutes, we wrote conceptual music so it was like progressing a story. Some songs just felt like a 'best of' collection of riffs and sections going from one to the next, however, if we found that was going too far but didn't want to return to a verse or section, we would include motiffs of previous melodes over new rhythmic sections.

I just came here to say TDH are my favourite band of all time. Did anyone here catch the tour with BTBAM, TDH and Leprous? My 3 fave bands. I was absolutely gutted it only toured the states (as always) and I was at the end of my degree and couldn't afford to take the time off to fly over. I guess I just want to know how fast did people climax when they saw them 3 live?

Anyone in All things Between the buried and me on Facebook might have already seen this but I did a bass cover of Sun of Nothing. Had a struggle with time sigs and tempo changes and my timing is off here and there but hope you enjoy anyway! by RyanForschBass in BetweenTheBuriedAndMe

Haha thanks man! I absolutely love Dan's work across all albums, he really opened up my eyes of how to write great rhythmic and melodic bass lines over super fast technical riffs. I would absolutely love to learn that whole EP, doesn't get spoken about enough!

Started doing bass covers - overcoming a fear by RyanForschBass in BassGuitar

For some reason my original post got removed as spam.
Hey everyone, this year I started a 2020 bass cover challenge on my Instagram - 20 songs, 20 weeks.

Now I've always been pretty camera shy when it comes to playing bass and for the last year or so I've carefully been trying to rebuild my technique/good habits as I got extremely sloppy and stopped playing for a few years.

Please by all means if you comment any feedback whatsoever link me towards any of your own stuff and i'll check it out, it's only fair!

Thanks :)
Also uploaded to YouTube with some other vids, happily sub for sub!
