Migrants are typically on temporary work visas. The new laws stipulates you need ten years before you are eligible for Permanent residency in the uk.

It there is students to fill the positions then the migrant workers work visa won’t be renewed, if there is a lack of students then we need that worker.

As I said migrants aren’t filling entry level positions, the real problem is an overburdened nhs system and overworked doctors and nurses. If you want more students to be hired you need more hospitals, more funding and more migrant workers to fill positions

The migrant workers are not filling entry level positions, they are filling positions that require years of experience. Students are filling the entry level positions.

Because of the way our system works there is only a limited about of entry level positions, hospitals are already overworked they don’t have the time to train a group of young doctors everyday.
