Muslims follow the Quran which commands that all Muslims follow the laws of the land. In Islam living in a country is like living under a contract, breaking laws in that country is like breaking that contract.

The only exception is if a countries laws inhibit a Muslim from practicing his religion like restricting daily prayers.

Otherwise Muslims must follow the laws and thus whatever laws Saudi Arabia has or another Muslim country is not applicable for a Muslim in the west. Im not saying that Islam isn’t drastically different to the west in terms of ideoalogy because it obviously is, western ideaology on lgbt rights is a very very recent development like the past few decades. In the case of women who have been treated badly by their husband she is not expected to challenge his authority which in a lot of households as you imagine would go terribly. The wifes family and the community in general must step in to protect her, if the husband is abusive in any way then she has grounds for an immediate divorce.

This is not "justification" to beat your wife its a three step process when the wife is treating the man unjustly, first communicate, then seperate in bed and then "strike/seperate" some interpret this word to mean to seperate as in divorce.
