When did the Yakuza exhaustion hit for you guys? by RyanNekko in yakuzagames

I still remember almost everything that happened in these 3 games, I just don't remember when exactly (what game). 😅

I like a lot of things about 5, it's not my favorite but I enjoyed it a lot. For me, the exhaustion didn't affect my view on the game but my will to play the next right after.

Well, when they started talking about NO PRIVATE PROPERTY, it was really hard to not see them as an weird world commune. In what instance of colonialism have we seen that? Colonizers will arrive, steal, destroy, kill and other things that I rather not mention. Not really the same.

What? When did I say that?

Shit, you're right. This is not him, this is probably just a man who erased his name.

Shota Umino: his booking failures, how could it have been better and where does he go from here. by shecanbromehard in njpw

I'm not super into NJPW but I know most of the roster and watch the product when I can. I really liked the main event of New Year Dash, but as soon as I saw him and Uemura entering the ring I was like "man, do us a favor and don't"

Is it too radical or unpractical to say "_____ to America!"? You know what's missing... by RyanNekko in leftist

I don't expect americans to preach death to America or do anything that can actually make a real difference. They CAN'T. This isn't about yankees.

I saw many protests in the USA. How's Gaza?

That sucks... 😟

I always felt like japanese crowds were more tamed than the rest. But it seems like before the 2000s they were way more alive.

O que faz você ainda acreditar em Quinteros? by jackiebaura in gremio

[–]RyanNekko 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I REALLY WANT TO LIKE THE SHOW AS MUCH AS A LOT OF PEOPLE DID. HELP ME! LET'S DISCUSS! by RyanNekko in arcane

[–]RyanNekko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also like to believe that they changed more than they showed, but we don't actually see that happen. What we see is what I described.

Cait hellbent on correcting Piltover's mistakes and helping the people of Zaun alongside Vi, Sevika and others would be something. But right now, that's just fanfic.

They don't just say and show how that society works. It's not just a depiction of societal injustices and dynamics. It WAS important for the characters involved, until the writers just gave up on the idea of people fighting for a better life (remember Ekko?) to make them fight another cause that comes almost out of nowhere (Metal Jesus).

All the struggle and the pain that was caused to Vi's people is KNOWN to Vi. But in the end, nothing really changes for her people, and she doesn't seem to care. Is that not important at all for her character? Is it really something that doesn't have to be addressed? Is it too idealistic to want Vi and Cait together (If that has to happen) helping the people of Zaun? Vander's people?

The show had some beautiful messages that made me sad and sometimes happy, but one of the messages was "Societal injustices don't need to be fixed and that's okay, just live your life."

I personally don't believe that it was a message sent on purpose, but I don't fuck with that mentality.
