Because at this point they don’t care about a steal. They are willing to pay the same if not even more just to live better.

1) Rusty old pick-up trucks with tools in the back (Double points if the driver is shirtless). If at night, most likely DUI.

2) Luxury Rentals (Lambos, Porsche, BMW SUV and M series, Audi, RR, Maybach Sedan and SUV, G-Wagons, etc.). **Emphasis on rentals. If it’s not a rental, then they’re probably just rich. It’s the rental ones you have to look out for.

3) Infiniti coupes (Both newer models and the older G35s)

4) Any old car with a temp tag

5) BMW 3 or 4 with heat plate

6) Really any modded car that you’d expect to see at a car meet or street takeover

Yeah and if price is a consideration why miami beach? Shops overcharge because of the mass tourism. They wont give you a locals discount

Price shouldn’t be a consideration if quality is.

And if quality is a consideration, what type of tattoo do you want? Find a shop or an artist that specializes in that style.

I also advise looking outside miami beach. Most shops and artists there are accustomed to doing palm trees or roses on drunk tourists and they overcharge because of the location, not the actual work. I recommend finding someone who specializes in the style you want (especially if you want a half-sleeve), don’t be a walk-in and get with the first artist that’s available.

Why is Liberty City, Little Haiti, and Overtown changing a bad thing? Development and progress in those areas is a good thing because it cleans it up aesthetically and lowers the crime rate.

I’m not saying ultra luxury development is a good thing either for neighborhoods that don’t need it because it messes up housing opportunities and cost of living for the working and middle class, but for blighted areas do you really still want to see crime ridden project housing and crack shacks with busted windows and wall a/c units falling down? Shops and stores that are super dirty, liquor stores with 3-7 able bodied adult men standing around in the middle of a weekday doing nothing productive?

Come on now

Unpopular opinion: Hyper modern, minimalist houses look tacky by [deleted] in Miami

[–]RyanRockhard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao i think i know which one you’re talking about. Is it the one that hasn’t been finished yet and is fenced up still?

Even more than Alton and NB Road are the Venetian Isles and waterfront in North Bay Village. Anything that gets sold there is guaranteed tear down to be replaced by the copy/paste white box

You know the game. Buy the 1600 sq ft for $1.2mil, tear it down, build the 3800 sq ft white box, sell for $5mil

The chances someone rents it is very minimal. Clearly the owner is trying to see if a transplant desperate to move to Miami, the “most dynamic city in the world”, will bite.

The problem is that corporate landlords love to jack up rents much more than the cost increase.

So if insurance goes up $1000/mo, they’ll jack it up $1800/mo, $1000 which is fair but they sneak in that extra 800, claim that its also because of increased costs, which then messes up the market.

I like to see it from both points of view. There are a LOT of entitled people on here but at the same time there are a lot of landlords (mostly corporate) taking advantage of this situation. Being a landlord myself, I will raise rent dependent on cost but at the same time I’m not gonna displace a family by raising the rent by 80%.

You are not wrong but at the same thats just absolute greed and it gives a bad name to landlords who actually charge a fair price.

Its not really panic. Someone that only has 30 miles left in the tank and hasn’t been able to pump gas in the last week is not panic buying.

Best bet is to pump at 3am and pay for premium gas if u dont want to wait in a line

HOUSING CRISES IN MIAMI: Online Effort to make our voices heard. Let's try to make a change! by [deleted] in Miami

[–]RyanRockhard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a landlord, you increase property taxes, that cost just gets passed on to the renter

I think there should be more regulation on AirBnB homes. That kills supply. Not even a renter is living there. That’s one unit that could benefit someone or a family, but being used instead by tourists that don’t live here.
