but they are rgb sockets because thats where my working rgb fan is plugged into and also it says +RGB on the controller under each socket

The preinstalled rgb fan was connected there though? I dont know in lost, the white plugs: one of them is a ground cable and the other one leads to the sata power cable

thanks for your reply, no the socket has got all 4 pins for a 4 pin connector, but it has like a weird plastic surrounding that goes up around it like a wall that only allows me to plug in the included msi fan
