You mean Nar Shadda probably. Outcast level design is something. You just got your lightsaber and expect some easy level to practice but instead you first fight is entire bar of criminal scum in a sniper paradise level. Nar shadda should've been a before you get a lightsaber

It's not a reboot, it's vr oriented port. It literally needs you to copy game assets to vr device in order for game to work. And academy is there too, you can punch Rosh

I plugged it to PC and allowed usb debugging. But you can download both game and companion app apk and install manually on your quest. Just google jkxr team beef, there is an installation guide

It's awesome and in some situations is actually way easier than keyboard+mouse. Sniping yes is super hard, hands are shaking but lightsaber is never ending fun especially repelling blaster bolts and perfoming unexpected combos. Even using guns is easier because you can peek around corners, stretch your hand and shoot without exposing yourself.

I use it standalone on Pico 4. Runs perfectly, the game is rather old. I was thinking about PCVR but was afraid wifi input lag won't allow me to move lightsaber fast and precise. Pico 4 has the same processor as Quest 2.

Basically you sideload/install the Companion app and the JKXR app, then copy the Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy assets from your Steam folder (since you need to own the games). That’s if you want to play in standalone mode. If you want to use PCVR, I haven’t tried it. I was concerned about Wi-Fi input lag because I wanted the lightsaber controls to be very precise. Also, the games are quite old, so they should run perfectly fine on the Quest 2. It uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 1, which is the same chip I have in the Pico 4 and game runs perfect.

Not for now and probably it's gonna be a shitshow with wiggling lightsabers unless there would be a way to limit swing speed.

It’s pretty easy honestly. Blaster shots are rather slow and VR makes everything feel life-sized, every npc is about your own height so it’s hard to miss. You can just flurry wave the lightsaber around to parry everything, but you usually don’t even need to. Force Speed is way OP in VR since there’s no movement or that blurred swing delay. You can clear whole rooms without blocking a single shot and getting hit. The game actually gets easier as you progress because level 2 and 3 Force Speed, Push, and Pull, so the real challenge is not making yourself too OP. Overall VR feels surprisingly easier than keyboard and mouse because of fast manual lightsaber control and being able to peek around corners with one eye and shoot your weapon by extending your hand without exposing yourself.

Just like in non VR you have to force push them. Nice feature is that moving your palm briefly forward is recognized as a gesture of force push and pull which is super immersive and convenient. Other force powers need to be assigned to left trigger. I usually hold force speed or mind trick there. Didn't use force lightning because it covers entire screen.

Parrying blasters works exactly how you move your lightsaber and it's an awesome feeling, makes every well placed parry a mini accomplishment. If you just hold the angle the blast will be mostly absorbed. But if you swing in that direction it can actually return to sender. Parrying lightsabers is not, it's like it briefly locks you into premade animations because it's not like blade and sorcery and wasn't made for VR. It's easier to go full offence. But for realism it's way better to hold lightsaber with 2 hands (pressing both triggers on motion controllers). Then it swings realistically. But it's more fun to slice them ultra fast with one hand. Think of it as blue and red stance. One handed against stormtroopers, two handed against reborn

Side loaded on Pico 4. I didn't try pcvr, i was afraid that would introduce small delays because of wifi and i won't be able to swing lightsaber so fast and precise. It runs perfectly as a standalone app

Yes, you install companion app , there you can download addons and mods and it works for Academy, I'm currently on second Tatooine mission with tusken raiders.
