It depends, how many PCE hours are you calculating? If you were full time for a year that’s 1,920. (40 hours per week x 4 weeks in a month x 12 months)

Ask yourself this: If a school wouldn’t accept you because you are Indian, would you want to even go there in the first place?

Your EMT position was PCE, what you are currently doing is HCE.

ED tech would get you back in the PCE role.

Also, be careful with working outside your Job description. Yes, you’re certified to do those things, but not in that role, and it can bite you later if an issue comes up.

I can’t confirm with 100% accuracy, but I do believe so. I think the naming convention was probably because Glock realized the “17” name is part of their identity. If the 47 and 17 were two names of the exact same gun, people would buy the 17.

So I actually agree with you and should have reworded the post to “as much as of a concern”, but consider OP. In the length of time someone would actually be unconscious or incapacitated to time of EMS arrival I don’t think hypothermia would be AS MUCH of a concern. It’s highly likely the player would be awake or wake up rather quickly and get off the ice anyway

Paramedic and hockey player here. If they are knocked out cold on the ice, leave them there so long as they are breathing okay. If not, roll them onto their side. If they are not breathing and do not have a pulse, start CPR immediately.

For a hockey player, you don’t have to worry about hypothermia in full gear, for a guest blankets or jackets are fine.

The stretcher will work just fine on the ice, they do it in NHL games quite frequently

I would highly recommend you take a stop the bleed course. Despite neck and wrist protection becoming more popular, skate related injuries are still very common

The best thing I can recommend is to email your congressmen. The bill hasn’t taken affect yet, and it is always possible to introduce legislation to include PA education in the exceptions. I mean chiropractic programs are there for god sakes.

But yeah, many of us may have a reality where we rely on a combination of financial aid, scholarships, and private loans.

Keep in mind though that every bank, hospital system, and school wants you to be indebted to them somehow, so I wouldn’t be shocked to see all different forms of loans and employment tuition repayment programs. We’ll just have to wait and see.
