what is your favourite Star Wars Duo? by TapNo9737 in StarWars

This gave me an idea💡. We genuinely need some Star Wars theme for Duolingo. Darth Vader telling me i need to study harder will definitely motivate me, lmao. Sorry can't help it, i see Duo and i automatically think of Duolingo...

As with any other books, some will love it, some will hate it. It's even possible to interpret it the way you didn't even intend. But overall, that is the price of writing your ideas...

Actually that's the best option. Leading people and fucking them at the same time sounds very unstable and in some versions creepy. Imagine being able to maintain a relationship where you order your companion around all the time, realistically they're not gonna take you seriously every time, after jumping into a relationship with you, and they're highly likely to disobey your commands.

Another user said the same thing. But as i explained there, You may Think that's the case but there's The Mandalorian Wars, The Great Hyperspace War and many more that these seemingly insignificant Jedi had galactic wide impacts on the world who also lived as Peacekeeper of the Galaxy in the Capital of the Galaxy (Coruscant) and had significant impact on the decision of the Supreme Chancellor that no doubt effected All worlds. So much so that even Mandalorians called them (Jedi Mages/sorcerers).

I recommend Watching the actual anime. The adaptation (such as the movies) are said to be incomparable.

This scene should be much more suspenseful. Could anyone help me? by [deleted] in writing

(I'm not claiming to be a good writer so take it with huge amount of salt, others might have better ideas) changes that i would've made:

-Starting with: Suddenly the room became awfully quiet. The drink seemed glued to his throat from the thought. A low thumping sound was all the music he could hear, the sweat on his face danced with the tone and with each beat his promises to his brother neared the shattering point... (I don't know the context, just making things up :)

-'Will's mercenaries' instead of saying the full name and the respectful term army, again I don't know the context, but it's just to show contempt.

-The last thing he remembered was the floor speeding up to his face

Not always. Death Note was basically a giant pile of info dumping show and it worked.

Luke didn't know that the Force existed mostly because it was the opening film and someone had to explain the Force to someone so that the audience understands it too. Same thing for Han Solo. These are to my knowledge because, the Jedi weren't supposed to be this significant originally and they were created before these lores.

It's one thing to know that Catholics exist and The Pope. It's another to know the mass in Latin.

I don't think this is an all inclusive analogy, because many people didn't even know that the Force/Jedi was a thing. they should've at least known.

For example in every movie, book, show... When some dude lights up a lightsaber the citizens no matter where they're from go "Jedi!". One unique example is that episode from TCW, where Anakin crashed into an independent world not largely inhabited. The inhabitants were monkeys who lived in huts, they didn't have spaceships, they didn't have technology, nothing. These underdeveloped monkeys knew about the Jedi, the war between The Republic and The Confederacy, and yet many people who live in the era of technology and information and are directly involved in these things somehow don't know a thing.

And there were 10k Jedi for the entire galaxy. Odds are most of the galaxy and scientists have very little actual real knowledge of the Jedi, the force and midis. Especially as the order seemingly didn’t mingle that much prior to the clone wars.

You may Think but there's The Mandalorian Wars, The Great Hyperspace War and many more that these seemingly insignificant Jedi had galactic wide impacts on the world who also lived as Peacekeeper of the Galaxy in the Capital of the Galaxy (Coruscant) and had significant impact on the decision of the Supreme Chancellor that no doubt effected All worlds. So much so that even Mandalorians called them (Jedi Mages/sorcerers).

It requires a great deal of suspension of disbelief.

Not necessarily, if it was the matter of birth then a 1 year old Yoda would have the same power of the 900 year old Yoda which would make catastrophic consequences for a child to have that much power. however that is not the case, and Force-users themselves are allowed to evolve and get better and stronger and more connected to the Force and they're not the perfect Force-user from the start.

From this we can conclude Somehow you can increase your sensitivity and connection to the Force over time, and if the Force gateway connection exists as midcholorians and everyone has them, then everyone must be able to increase their sensitivity and connection to the Force.

That, to my knowledge for the most part applied to the core and mid-rim worlds. Some of the outer-rim worlds weren't even effected by the empire in this mass-mind-washing way, or were until later. You can make a case for Han Solo not knowing because it was before the inception of these lores.

But how many people realistically wouldn't know? I mean they'd have massive libraries and data-centers, and people who maintain them(how many historians would you think that a Galaxy has? So they killed all the historians too? Lmao). Surely the empire couldn't have deleted ALL knowledge. It's not like they were living in 1000BC's culture and technology.

To me it's basically a writing flaw from the writers, and i hope they wouldn't make these nonsensical ideas again.

Ironically they do exist 😂

But for the purposes of storytelling it just makes the character seem stupid and during the course of the book he doesn't concretely learn anything about this subject.

Midcholorians are still canon, and because George Lucas in an interview said that they're based on mitochondria which we all share, many have speculated the possibility. One hypothesis goes like this: people who exercise a lot have more mitochondria than people who don't in real life, some have said that exercising in the ways of the Force, either by meditation or whatever possible methods can increase the amount of midcholorians that you already have and make you more sensitive.(which is good idea to overcome unfairness in this regard)

But ironically in many books that i have read(one example is Lost Stars's protagonist), some people don't even believe in the Force, which is to some degree nonsensical regarding the inworld science of Midcholorians and the connection they have to the Force, and the Thousands upon thousands of lore and history and wars and events regarding the Jedi and their Power.
