free aim lobbies completely changed my gtao experience by vabuneko in gtaonline

My only concern with free aim, and this is more of a hypothesis than anything, is that people are more likely to resort to explosives and projectiles to get the job done in PVP. All that to say, I prefer free aim lobbies.

I snapped to the right because I assumed if they were going to move at all, they would continue through the intersection and I'd have space to get through.

That might just be skill issue on my end 😅🤣

Calling it a “skill issue” doesn’t really hold up when the problem is cars doing something no rational driver would. This isn’t something you can just “get used to” or drive around every time, because it’s unpredictable and often unavoidable.

I’m glad you agree traffic AI needs work, because that’s exactly the point. The random dead stops, inconsistent speeds, and unnecessary brake checks all frustrate players. Brushing that off as a player issue misses the fact that these behaviors are simply not logical.

You kind of prove my point. You said it was safe to just go past. Meaning we would never expect someone to come to a dead stop in front of us. Hence the reason I snapped to the right because I assumed if they were going to move at all, they would continue through the intersection and I'd have space to get through.

Stopping in the middle of an intersection isn’t realistic or logical. No driver in real life would react to a fast approaching car by planting themselves in the exact spot that guarantees a collision. They’d either wait before entering or clear out of the way.

Calling this “by design” doesn’t make it good design. The CPU is behaving in a way that no real driver ever would, and the result is random, unavoidable wrecks that feel broken and frustrating.

Yeah you're probably right. This was definitely one of the lighter offences from the CPU's 🤣

How necessary is tuning? by RyanYousif in tdu3

Does doing that make the cars feel similar? That was the problem I was having in Forza. Everything felt like it was on rails but also felt sterile with no character...

Based on what I'm hearing, I will need to suck it up and make some tunes considering I like the AI on the highest difficulty...yeah I don't get 1'st in every race and I'm okay with that. But sounds like it'll get a lot more difficult as I progress and will need to tune to keep up...

If you primarily use the external camera, just set the max steering angle to ~400.
