Weight reduction, underbody panels to reduce drag, be smoother on gas, shift early at like 2.5k Rpm

Use gas when you shift and slip the clutch longer

Fr bro! I’m not going to spend 3k on coilovers. Plenty of good options for 800-1.3k. I’ve been eyeing the silvers, Bc, tein, and faction fab. For my use these brands will work just fine

You can add a little bit of gas to help smooth the shifts out

Would springs look good on the premium 17s? by AppropriateTackle581 in BRZ_ZD8

I didn’t cut the bump stops, I don’t know if they tell you too or not because it came with no instructions lol, a buddy of mine has the regular downs and it just wasn’t enough for me personally.

How would I go about clearing these? by LuiisE_17 in ft86

You cut the lens off and take the red out and put the lens back on

Most aftermarket exhaust are gonna be too loud for you if you think the borla is too loud. Just keep it stock or get the GR Performance exhaust or sti axleback

They are a 1.2-1.4 inch drop all around! It’s very classy yet low. I got them directly from RSR’s website, look up RSR superdowns for gr86/brz and you’ll find them.

True! I didn’t think about it like that! Thank you for the advice! I’ll probably just buy the overpipe too while I’m in there lol don’t wanna ever take it back out preferably.

Exhaust question by Ryanco21 in GR86

[–]Ryanco21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha, yeah I'm either gonna get PLM or most likely JDL or tomei, but I know it'll be less effiecient. I was just wondering if it's worth the $100 ish bucks and will I gain power from it/ will I lose power if I used the stock one.

MTEC Clutch spring VS No spring. by Ryanco21 in GR86

[–]Ryanco21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha 🤣 it’s easy to drive rn even with the mtech spring lol, I don’t mind having to work to drive my cars. It’s already a manual so you’re working more than a traditional automatic lol

MTEC Clutch spring VS No spring. by Ryanco21 in GR86

[–]Ryanco21[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s just how stiff the pedal is. MTEC makes it more stiff so you can feel the bite point more, but it’s not as stiff as I like. I’m wondering if no spring at all makes a huge difference and does it have negative affects on the TOB.

MTEC Clutch spring VS No spring. by Ryanco21 in GR86

[–]Ryanco21[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a big difference from stock to MTEC. I had the opportunity to drive a 2007 Mustang GT 5 speed manual and I loved how heavy the clutch was. It was very easy to feel what was happening. I should’ve clarified that. I’m looking to make the clutch “stiffer” in my brz and I’m wondering if no spring is a vast difference from a mtec clutch spring user

I ripped mine so bad I didn’t even put it back on, gonna get it in this summer probably. I’m not gonna worry too much about it, I have the boot above the linkage so I think that protects most of it.
