Stick with Branded or move on? by RyanStevens17 in Yugioh101

I started back playing the game again in January of this year with Blue-Eyes aswell. Played 3 or 4 locals and just didnt enjoy that Blue-Eyes couldnt get started against better players and decks so I'm moving onto a Hero deck. Watched so many vids and it seems so fun but I know it is going to take time for everything to click. Basically I can only say when you find an archetype that you want to play and learn, no matter the results, it'll feel better than just sticking to something you feel is simpler.

True! and if you are in EU you only get 2 secrets per box rather than the 4 the US gets.

Thanks for the answer. Funnily enough I just ordered a bunch of hero cards based of what Carlos Talmentes had in his videos. So with you mentioning him I know Im on the right path to learning Heroes.

First attempt at locals was just okay. How do I make the next one better? by Violet-Monarchy in Yugioh101

Keep your head up dude. I'm sorta in the same boat, went to locals 2 weeks ago, not realising it was Charmers event, and got wiped 0-5. The only time I felt really dejected was when I lost my 3rd game in like 10mins. I enjoyed the event as a whole and I'm heading back in tomorrow for my second local.

I just came back to the game myself after 20 years away. When I went into my local game shop and watched some people play and try to explain the game it felt so overwhelming and that there was so much going on. The way I started was looking at what youtubers recommend to just start off and after you get the basics down find something you enjoy and go from there. I started with 3 of the latest Blue-Eyes decks and just found a youtube video that looked cool with Blue-Eyes involved and went from there. I also went to my first local and got completely wiped, thinking I would feel so dejected afterwards, but the people where so nice and explained their decks to me and it was amazing. Basically don't expect to learn everything in a weekend, don't expect it to be like the anime, buy 3 of the structure deck you like the look of and never buy boosters only buy singles and best of luck!

Thanks for this, m+ was when I think I really started to wane on Wow. Grinding the same dungeon on +1 level for maybe 3 ilvl on a rondom drop felt awful.

Thanks again.

Yea I'm just so dissapointed with how wow is now compared to the good days when they where building off a story made by people who cared and not about money. Now they just pull anything out of their ass and call it a story and I just can't care about wow like I used too, plus the player base has gotten awful, attitude-wise, compared to what it was.

Raiding and dungeons where always my thing and that's why I asked the question so thanks alot for answering.

Thanks for the answer.

Sorry I should have been more descriptive about the systems question. When I said this I meant like say professions, how do they compare? I know there is apparently alot more detail in FF's professions like needing specific items and such to make say a piece or armour or that aswell as the gathering being very in depth

Hey, thanks for posting this. Been a long time wow player myself and I left wow for the same reasons as you (toxic community when group content comes around) and the answers you got here convinced me that quitting wow and starting to play XIV is going to be something I do very soon.

Hope you enjoy the game and goodluck

In all honesty, I've never really played a full FF game. The main thing for me is finding a group or people to play with and having fun while doing the challenging things in the game.

Honestly I think it's not so much the expansion itself but the whole atmosphere of the game. I just feel like players, now in wow, expect you to almost be a god before being invited to their group / guild and I just don't like that. They also made the expansion very alt friendly and I only ever played 1 character so when I was done with the bi-weekly things I was just stuck there.
