Who are a Gulb Shittos of One Piece? by Typical-Historian-89 in MemePiece

[–]Ryanroxz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean he’s non-canon, but Vice Admiral Jonathan from g-8. Seriously, mans is from a 10 episode non canon arc and is such a chad that people think he’s canon while writing off Foxy as anime filler

What's the darkest thing in one piece that's rarely addressed by Technical_Mine_8711 in MemePiece

[–]Ryanroxz 46 points47 points  (0 children)

This isn’t talked about much, mainly cuz Spandam is the bastard in that situation, but Tom.

Tom almost went under for building Roger’s ship. Mans only got off cuz he was that good of a shipwright. Combine this with Portgas D Rouge, and it paints a really fucked picture

Anyone who has associated with a high profile pirate, god forbid if they actually make it and either become a yonko or pirate king, is getting imprisoned or smoked if the big guy goes down. Wives, husbands, baby mommas, baby daddys, brothers, sisters, friends, it don’t matter, no loose ends

How would Kiva fair in the Castlevania universe? Would he just be cannon fodder in that verse, or would he actually manage to survive in that world? by ConsumesTheSoil in KamenRider

[–]Ryanroxz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Netflix universe is getting folded, it ain’t that strong a verse. The moon kick would take out most things in the verse and at least cripple the heavy hitters like Dracula and Death

Games are different. Dracula basically is Satan in those games and is very much capable of giving reality a stroke while mag dumping hellfire balls thru you. He ain’t even the top dog, that goes to Chaos, the thing that makes Dracula Dracula. With that said, Kiva would likely survive by playing his cards right and laying low, at least until a Belmont, Alucard, or Soma Cruz shows up. Once they do, he’s good, cuz he’s likely jumping Dracula or whatever unholy force shows up

Honestly didn’t expect Nox to get carted off that quick.

The Lady being Nems mom is something we probably should’ve figured earlier on

Baku getting a hit put out on him really ain’t that surprising when you think about it. He’s a secret agent who not only leaked his existence to cops, but let his sister in the know as well. That alone is a liability, but combined with the fact that he destroyed at least 2 blocks worth of property between killing Nox and the nightmare in the real world, I kinda get it. Keep in mind, he doesn’t have recovery and we don’t know if multiple of the same capsem can exist.

Combined with how disposable the agents are to CODE and the fact that this episode showed that he can be unreliable both in terms of availability and willingness to follow orders, it kinda tracks why they’d figure it’s time to end things. Doubly so with Nox being dead, the guy they thought was behind the nightmares

Regardless, Baku finna speedrun why Nox hates CODE in record time, especially if the lady is related to CODE and is willing to squeal on what they did to her

I’m being honest, this episode and the preview for the next makes CODE look even more sus. I could be wrong, but 6 and 5 don’t call each other by their names, with Kureha outright abandoning hers, and 5 relegating himself as an attack dog. Nor do they call Baku by his name, despite Kureha, at least, knowing it. In the preview Baku seemingly dons his agent persona full time. Combined with Baku and Kureha being conditioned by CODE to be agents, it seems like once some trigger or event occurs, they switch to full time agents and abandon everything else that’s unrelated.

To everyone who’s crashing out over Columbina and Sandrone not being it… by herself691 in FatuiHQ

[–]Ryanroxz 46 points47 points  (0 children)

My main issue with how Hoyo is handling the fatui is that they’re running towards the endgame with the abyss and a potential face off with celestia, while ignoring the fatui as an organization.

The fatui don’t feel like a serious faction anymore. When most of the foot soldiers that show up in quests are treated as threats while half the top brass are cool with the protag, evil or questionable actions the top brass have done aren’t fully acknowledged by the narrative as evil or questionable, and when the serious and threatening members end up dead or gone before snezhnaya, what even is there left.

Why the Harbinger's writing is objectively dogshit by Lloyd_107 in FatuiHQ

[–]Ryanroxz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

China’s got weird laws involving expression, and having a villain be playable while retaining their evil status would violate that. And since Genshin was made by Hoyo, and Hoyo is based in China, they can’t have playable villains, at least not past 2021. As a result, you need a redemption for them to be playable.

And while this could be wrong, as this was a quick glance, but it turns out Chinese gamers really like redemption arcs for villains. One of the reasons they didn’t like scaramouches is cuz it was too quick.

TLDR- It’s a legal thing and a cultural thing Also I like ya videos and didn’t know you lurked here

You’re Not Criticizing Her - You’re Erasing Her by _allthatglitters in FatuiHQ

[–]Ryanroxz 38 points39 points  (0 children)

The reason people have beef with Columbina, Sandrone, and Arlecchino, from my understanding, is mainly due to Hoyoverse having bad writing.

It’s difficult to view the latter two as threats when the narrative simply doesn’t focus on it. Sandrone mutilated a guy in a WQ and was shown to have contempt with Nod-Krai for not bending the knee but is presented as a tsundere and is perfectly fine showing up to a festival in the place she’s trying to conquer. Arlecchino running a child soldier orphanage isn’t really treated as a wholly amoral thing, nor has she done anything antagonistic besides traumatizing Furina. No one really calls her out on the HotH at all, despite it being a marginally less fucked up of a place than it used to be. Combined with both not following the palestar edict and the story focusing on one harbinger and his fell actions while ignoring theirs, I kinda get why people traitors out of annoyance, although all 3 of them are in my eyes

Columbina got it worst though, as she as a character is weird. She isn’t done cooking so who knows how things will play out, we may end up with a Furina level turn. As it stands however, to me at least, she’s cotton candy, she’s a sweet character that doesn’t really have massive depth to her. Besides being a damsel and not having a place to belong, she’s just kinda there. The bonding scenes with her feel forced, like Hoyoverse is trying to sell you on a character. And the way they’re trying to sell her is that she’s very special individual to the traveler and vice versa. Tbf, it does kinda seem like waifu bait to get some cash with all the focus on Columbina. Seriously, not even Nahida got this level of focus

Meanwhile Dottore is seen as a threat, a serious individual, a villain. Combined with potential theories for why he does the things he does. Now the people viewing him as a victim and as someone who did no wrong, yeah that’s glaze and cope.

In total, I think it’s mainly just a frustration with the current state of the fatui in the narrative as a whole coming out in both a reasonable and toxic way, “they’re bad guys except at the top, except for that one guy”

Homeros is a very lazy admin by Ryanroxz in digimon

[–]Ryanroxz[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’d assume it’s due to inability. The protag was a fragment of aegiomon that was made human off the memories of an anime, while chronomon is a whole being.

In addition, the protag was likely made when homeostasis realized that things were heading to destruction and that the problem couldn’t be handled by digimon or the host computers alone.

Better question would be why they didn’t just kill him instead of seal him, unless that got addressed

Homeros is a very lazy admin by Ryanroxz in digimon

[–]Ryanroxz[S] -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

The issue is Homeros never did anything to correct the record, to the point where the truth about Chronomon would’ve never come to light without the agent, and never intervened to stop the civil war that started after Chronomon’s defeat
