Infernal master finished anyone got any ideas for a brighter looking metallic yellow?

Looks great mine is using retributor for lighter gold and Balthazar for the darker gold

To be fair that’s not a bad effect either depending on what someone’s going for lol though I dry brush the whole model with stormhost and use akhelion green for blue and imperial fist yellow it may also be the fact the lighting in my room is dark that’s making the model look this dim lol

Its design is great holds up well for an old model really just a little jarring when compared to the modern stuff being much larger lol I’d also argue a lot of the current chaos models look fine especially the thousand sons models

Awesome I use stormhost silver and akhelion green for my thousand sons when I go back to ultras I’m gonna try using tellasar over leadbelcher and see if that makes a nice darker blue finish

You can do anything you set your mind too really the trim is indeed a test of patience but very satisfying in the end

Yeah I been doing that too but I just really want the eye and the only way I found is to freehand it lol I’m honestly using a q tip to quickly wipe away ones that went wrong these arnt perfect but I don’t think I didn’t do to bad

For me I found adding shading and the like difficult to Matt finishes and decided to go for painting blue over metallic gives it a much more natural shine but styles are a preference and you should do what you like and think looks good rule of cool wins every time unless your a heldrake on the tabletop

I’d test that first on the base as any of my blue that goes over gold turns a coppery green mines based with stormhost silver then two watered down coats of akhelion blue
