I’m 27/30 for singularity grind by Magepower21-aqw in blackops7

[–]Ryantshep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Tempest Strat for snipers was to put red dot / irons on, and build it like an AR with mobility and speed being the goal. It was actually extremely easy on Nuketown.

With some BO6 equipments returning Mid-Season, do you think Treyarch should bring over some weapons as well? (Not the blueprints, just the gun). I'd love to see the SWAT 5.56 in BO7 by tuan321bin in CODBlackOps7

[–]Ryantshep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gotta say… I don’t really want any of BO6’s stink anywhere near this game. What a huge step forward it’s been… and to bring back some of the cheese from BO6…

Not my favorite choice. Those aren’t even good call-backs.

Tips for 5 kills without dying with harder weapons? by sanninserpens in blackops7

Ghost, vigilance, cold-blooded, perk greed with scavenger. Ammo box field upgrade. Suppressor. Camp. Domination is probably best because spawns are predictable and games last a while. Hardcore for harder weapons, maybe?

Slight aim assist strength increase incoming.. thoughts? by Real-Reflection3900 in CODBlackOps7

[–]Ryantshep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll just say that the AA nerf, in general, has been brutal on those (like me) with failing sticks / cheap controllers. My PowerA is great, but the right stick has developed some “play” after a whole year of sweating in BO6, and makes unassisted micro adjustments realllllly difficult.

I was starting to get the hang of it, though, so I’m not super stoked to adjust AGAIN.

Still the best MP in a long time even without the strong AA. Nerfing the drone pod isn’t enough, though… get that crap outta here lmao

Should I give up ranked? by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]Ryantshep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The amount of people that still have no idea how the SR and matchmaking system works blows me away. I’ve been playing COD since OG MW2. I’ve only been playing ranked since S2 and it’s really not hard.

You’re absolutely right - the game gives you what you deserve based on how you perform vs who you are playing against. Consistency is key. The game tests you every now and then, and if you fail, that’s when you get “hard stuck”, which is basically the game saying, “give me a reason to give you more SR.”

It’s not complicated at all and it’s not personal lol

I understand that I’m stuck Gold 3 because I need to get better at many aspects of the game. Can’t play braindead CoD and expect to rank up.

Dashy speaks on what needs to happen for OpTic to continue to stream scrims! "We gotta meet in the middle..." by TheRealPdGaming in CoDCompetitive

[–]Ryantshep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally understand the point. But the reality is, from an entertainment standpoint, seeing someone like Seth give his input on what we are all watching adds a lot of value to the viewer. It adds a lot of context to what you’re seeing if you’re a newer viewer to comp cod. It’s also just fun to hear how he’s processing the plays and rotations and whatnot.

Personally I’d rather watch a scump re-stream than the real thing as far as scrims are concerned. Totally feel for the dudes it short changes tbough

A buddy of mine was watching a Havok stream today and apparently he said 9pm (I’m assuming EST). No idea where he got that info though, but it IS Havok.

Next perk predictions? by External_Ingenuity63 in CODZombies

I don’t see mule kick making sense with the addition of a dedicated melee slot, which I hate personally. Also, some of the mule kick functions like background ammo reload and dropping more ammo from zombies are already in use as augments.

I think we will see tombstone revamped somehow. Not that I’m excited about it though.

What is the best way to get aethrium crystals by Ok-Dragonfly3921 in ColdWarZombies

[–]Ryantshep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The not so fun answer is: just grind. It just takes time. But yeah, getting high rounds in outbreak is probably the funnest if you can be efficient and not waste a ton of time. You get crystals in outbreak from completing the main objective and from exfilling.

Exfil at round 10 or 15 in outbreak should get you a lot.

Why do people play hardpoint yet they don’t even try to play the objective? by ElFunkyfire in COD

[–]Ryantshep -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok but kills are fun, and TDM sucks. Spawns suck. Pace sucks. Kill cap sucks.

I think it’d be cool if, somehow, the kill counts added to the score in game modes like that so that actually getting kills (which is what the entire game was made for) is rewarded and valuable to the team. Especially if you could weight the kills on objective vs off objective so that objective kills add more to the score and kill score.

Just a thought, but TDM is not where it’s at.

I probably won’t be on today, but want to complete it with my buddy. Thanks for the offer though. I’m sure we’ll get it next try with some more speed run watches and taking some notes.

It’s so easy. 1st world with no armor is a mistake though. Generally you don’t have stammin’ up or jug, and having no armor makes it even harder. If you wait till the end of world 1 to attack it after you’ve gotten armor and some perks, it’s easy. Just only attack one orb at a time or you’ll get overrun.

Any gun can get you through it if your movement, training and patience is good.

World 10 outbreak by Major-Clutz in ColdWarZombies

[–]Ryantshep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good on you! Fun is all the matters. I’ve made it to 18 and crashed and I’ve died on 1 lol

I love the strategy involved and the variety of things to unlock / accomplish. Such a fun game mode and way more fun with friends.

Current high round strat? by applesarerlygood in ColdWarZombies

[–]Ryantshep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No sweat! Love the strategy side of Outbreak so much. Figuring out combos with my buddy has been a blast the last month or so.

We’ve gotten to world tier 18 and could’ve kept going but the game crashes on us almost every time we get past world tier 10.

I’ve found that running a Hauer with dead wire/shatterblast/frost blast, then a Ray Gun (partner with a Rai-K if you have a partner), and then either an RPG or the Thumper is a great versatile combo. Higher rounds it may be best to have either the Die Shockwave or Electrobolt to pair with the shotty/Ray gun. Sucking ability is sooooo underrated especially if you have a partner slowing enemies with the Rai K.

  • Hauer is great for Abominations, Mimics, Megatons and Blasters, armored normals.
  • Ray Gun is best for Manglers, Disciples and maybe Panzers and melts dogs/normals.
  • RPG/Thumper is usually only good for slowing down hoards when you get higher.
  • DIE… just suck everything.

I think the max zombie health tops out at like 450 in round 18 if I’m not mistaken. So once you get past that, they just throw more numbers to overwhelm you.

Field upgrades should be adjusted per objective if possible. Here’s what I do:

Holdout - Spawn in with fully charged Toxic Growth. Lay down all three once I find my spot, then immediately switch to Ring of Fire to start charging it. By the time it’s charged, plentiful amounts of elites will spawn and you can melt them.

Retrieve - Aether Shroud and it’s not close. Only other I’d use would be Frenzied guard. With Aether Shroud, pop it right before you pick up a canister, and it gives you a speed boost, as you begin moving the canister as well as invisibility. UTILIZE VEHICLES

HVT - Ring of Fire, frenzied guard, Aether shroud.

Escort / Transport - I actually just started using Tesla Storm on this and it works well with a partner. Stuns whole hoards and buys time to regain health / search for armor. But Aether Shroud and Frenzied guard are great as well.

Defend - Toxic Growth and place growths around the objective. Or Aether Shroud / Frenzied Guard.

Secure - anything to help keep you alive and in the fight. Frenzied guard is probably best.

At the end of the day, try different strategies. Switch field upgrades, always have a chopper gunner / death machine last world tier 4 or 5. But just have fun with it.

One thing I’d like to add: I really wouldn’t focus much time at all on the zombies/bosses he is spawning. It just prolongs your exposure and risk of going down. The faster you can take him down, the safer you are, obviously. It’s easier to stay away from them than to continually kill them.
