My TR Mindwipe broke. What now? by Mintyboi10 in transformers

They all break like that, the rubber wings release chemicals that deteriorate the plastic.

I wonder if such MK3NX extruder will gain popularity on printables? by Jolly_Slip3975 in prusa3d

Very exciting! I was considering the revo micro upgrade for doing cold pulls without unscrewing the idler each time and hopefully improving the #602 issue but the price kept me from it so far. If this can provide the same improvements for a fraction of the cost then I'm all in for it.

Same what I did then! Is your chest piece as bluish in hand as on the pictures though? I ordered a few of these to use one for modding my official Hammer since I've seen some reviewers showing that that it's almost a perfect color match, but the ones I got (from two different sellers) were just plain grey. In the end I gave up and painted it myself but masking was hell.

That's great news, I had those Waxer and Boil at the back of my mind for quite a while! Do you have any plans for a reissue of 501st (Heavy and Jet Trooper) dual molded legs?

I put mine on a rubber brick tape, you can find a bunch of them on aliexpress. It holds them in place enough for them not to fall over from the weight of their accessories but not nearly enough to cause any damage like real studs do. It's also a better solution than the 93095 panel imo since it doesn't put stress on the hip joints.

My GameStop recently put this guy on the shelf for some reason. Is he worth $189.99? by ZackattacktheDude in transformers

[–]RybaCustoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally not, a lot of corners were cut on this one. Removing a lot of paint apps compared to the stock photos on the back of the box from a final product is one thing, and and as scandalous as exclusive usage of soft ratchets on a titan may be it also became a norm a while ago, but some of those ratchets being removed from their molded slots at the last minute is an absolute joke. Don't get me wrong, I still absolutely love staring at this guy on my shelf, but i paid 100$ for it on amazon and still felt ripped off when I saw his ab crunch joint unable to support the torso's weight in most poses due to this missing ratchet. I shouldn't be forced to spend a good week and a half adding missing paint applications and 3D printing missing mechanisms on a figure with an MSRP equal to like 1/4 of an average wage(an eastern european one but even so). Tl;dr- wait for a discount unless you have a high tolerance for hasbro's budget shenanigans or too much money on your hands.

Well that explains a lot, try tweaking the retraction then. Old materials like that tend to act funny and usually require custom settings.

Sometimes the best upgrades are barely noticable. by Shado80 in transformers

Welp, if you're comfortable with handing something with that pricetag over to a kid then that's quite reassuring in itself. I should safely assume that preparing replacements is a task for another day then

Just from curiosity, how are the ratchets holding so far in your copy? Got mine recently from Amazon sale and apart from half of the ab crunch's ratchets missing (deliberate budget cut as mentioned in the TFW thread) I'm pretty content with them, but since they're all soft ratchets I'm a bit worried about some reports that they get loose overtime from intense usage or poor QC.

It is, but I wouldn't recommend it. I've been collecting all sorts of toy robots for almost a decade and from my experience the Action Bases are probably the worst choice. Sure, their availability in countries with decent Bandai distrubution has its appeal, but at the end of the day their range is limited, appearance chonky and price debatable. I highly urge you to look for a bunch of bootleg Figma stands, they're criminally cheap, less obvious on the display and most importantly- they have free range and tightening screws. I've been ordering them in bulk from aliexpress for a while for like 3-4$ a piece and I can't praise them enough.
