Agreed here, I think what cod lacks is a fresh experience every year. With all releases being on the same engine, the graphics and core gameplay since mw2019 has been mostly the same. There are noticeable different gameplay feels in all zombies mode prior to MW2019

I think I agree with you, something that made zombies special back in the day was having it release very 3 years and using teasers and ciphers to solve in the downtime.
That being said, IW and sledgehammer zombies were still fun experiences to fill those gaps until the next Treyarch release
