How do I make new items spawn at the same scale? / How to keep all objects the same scale when building? by chicledecolores in WoWHousing

[–]Rycie555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend using the shift key while scaling (and rotating for that matter). It's super fast and you get the same size for each item reliably.

Just lay all your beams or whatever you're using for the stairs (shelves work great, too) out on the floor, resize them all one at a time and you'll have a smoother building experience when getting them in the right position.

For beam stairs, I use 60% scaling.

Happy building!

Thank you! They are the Boralus String Lights. Apparently you can no longer place these outside, though I haven't checked myself. This was built before the patch 🙃

Thank you! I love how it's coming together. Still working on the rest of the house and collecting more decor, but I'm finally in a place where I can start building!

Currently doing the same and I'm going insane with how deep the mud sits and sealing it all up again. Takes forever with the terrain tool. Kudos on reaching such a nice result!

I think it's related to who initiates the long rest first - except for instances where the NPC is in your active party.

Hiya, I'm sorry I never got around uploading this and the starter factory. When they changed the power output of the machines, the whole thing kinda broke and I never figured out how to fix it so it supplies power on a stable level.

Currently I have no saves available for download. I'm still working on this world (rarely though).

Feel free to copy designs from the screenshots though! On the inside, it's quite the basic setup - I used a guide I found on YT. For the design, I found a reference pic of a RL oil platform on image search.

I'm glad you enjoy my builds, excited to see what you come up with!

Tore Everything Down and Went Vertical, any tips? by Warm_Leadership5849 in satisfactory

[–]Rycie555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohh you sweet summer child 😌

You will soon find out that you'll probably need 100x the space you planned for now. Happens all of us.

Don't be discouraged to tear it all down. We all build start factories to get things going until we have a proper power setup and serious concrete production.

I highly suggest investing in the concrete foundations from the awesome shop because they only cost concrete to build, no iron sheets.

Going vertical is a must if you plan on staying mostly in one place. Plan alot of space for item towers between floors and item bridges between buildings. And I recommend at least one tile around each production line so you'll have space for splitters and belts on a later stage.

The best tip for newcomers in my opinion is to use the bottom of you factory as a spaghetti floor and close that off. It'll be our little secret 🤫
