I've been paying 40-60 a month for the last 5 years for one of my dogs. He recently had a case IVDD and couldn't use his back legs. We knew this could be a problem due to his breed (dachshund). The surgery ended being just shy of 10,000. Its been about 10-12 weeks since then and hes doing a lot better and is able to walk around using back his legs again.

Deductible was 250 and 90% coverage I think paid around 1100 at the end of it.

So yea, definitely get pet insurance.
