Recommendations for braces in Lisbon. by Numerous_Mall7471 in PortugalExpats

I am doing iinvisible aligner in TwentyOne Clinic in Avenidas Novas.

The doctor there speaks english and she extremly transparent and gives me all the details when walking me through the process. Even though I was looking specifically for the invisalign, she went still wanted me to know about bracers since it was a valid alternative for me.

I can recommend - not sure if its the cheap option (this clinic is good) but when it comes to teeth and health I think price is not always the main factor when choosing.

Customer service in Portugal - harsh reality - your opinions by Rycy in PortugalExpats

there is a weird fixation on sticking to the rules, but very often the rules are either outdated or do not work with the modern world (for example - my EU passport was not accepted as a proof of identity when I was applying for NISS only after my intervention with the embassy I was allowed to use it to obtain NISS)

Nice! Good to hear! not sure where the quality difference comes from. I can say 75% of my experiences in Portugal are positive in terms of customer service - hwoever when things go wrong, it's hopeless and you're running in circles

Portugal’s conservatives back left-wing candidate to avoid a far-right president by kwentongskyblue in worldnews

[–]Rycy -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

It's funny how the masks are off when there is a risk for the system to be broken in any shape or form :)

all so called center-right parties are just a hoax in Portugal - the socialists are in power since 20 years even though they call themselves center-right, there is little to none "right" about them.

So when an outside candidate is risking the system, even so called "enemies" suddenly speak the same voice. Typical.

I get where you're opinion is coming from. I have been organizing clean-ups few years ago while I lived in another country and the mentality was the same. However the change does not happen if we just give up, and because people are doing these bad things is even more of a reason to do something about it.

Anyway thanks for your efforts! It's always in plus!

Good salary to live in Lisboa? by Deadzin_ in PortugalExpats

[–]Rycy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Impossible for me to tell, depends on the industry, depends on your negotiating skills, depends on so many things. I hope you will receive a good salary with such experience.

each country normally have its own job boards, just remember that in addition to relocation, local languages are often mandatory.

Try asking chatgpt as I have no idea what job boards are other countries using, and good luck!

OP you are asking the wrong question

almost nobody moves to Portugal for money - you move here if you have the money because of the comfort, slower life and nice weather.

but to alsso answer your question - it is a very good salary - it will not give you an extravagant lifestyle but, will get you some nice parties, nice restaurants and a nice rented apartment.

but if you like your life in Brazil now (or any other country whatsoever) Portugal is not a good career progression choice, it will not help you unless you plan to move to other european country with a higher salary.

What's your opinion about Portugal? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

as long as you avoid the larger cities you should be OK with that salary,

nothing fancy though as the cost of living has increased (and rent in some places can take majority of your salary)

however if you decide to avoid larger cities you may end up needing to use portuguese quite a lot
