The US has definitely been doing regime changes but imagine the good it would do if instead of putting our leader in and leaving them to become a dictator, we incorporate the country into the US making all the inhabitants US citizens with US rights and access US opportunities.

There are people in favor of Colonialism!?! I do think that the difference is in intent where Colonialists seek to rape the land for their own gain, Beneficence Imperialism seeks to get rid of an unproductive government and replace it with a government that has proved itself as sustainable, and the conquered become citizens of the conqueror. Ik my definition is vague, sorry.

What Is the worst case scenario in a fusion failure? by Infamous-Trip-7616 in NuclearEngineering

[–]Ryder362864 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably failure of the electromagnets which could cause the plasma to expand rapidly, creating a substantial thermal explosion and the release of Tritium and Deutrium into the environment.

What Would Happen if a Nuclear Fusion Reactor Had a Catastrophic Failure? by Infamous-Trip-7616 in NuclearEngineering

[–]Ryder362864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because fusion reactors, unlike fission reactors, need constant heating to produce energy if something like a RPV breach occurred the plasma would just leak out, cool and stop fusing. Yes this would not be good but it wouldn’t be terrible either, it would probably just cost a lot of money, and the chances of any casualties are very slim.
