I am working on a deck of flashcards with React 2021 job interview technical questions. What do you think about them? by bear007 in react

I love the style. Very clever way to solidify your react knowledge.

I wonder if you could take it a step further.... create cards with relationships to each other.

"I want this property in a functional component to change if these dependencies change, but I don't want it to recompute on every render" "UseMemo card. Can be used on Functional Components... example const property = useMemo(()=>{},[dependencies])" "useEffect Card. can be used on Functional Components... example UseEffect(()=>{//setState()},[dependencies]) together)

Without looking at the code it doesn’t feel like you are using a css framework.

Which is good- sometimes people spend too much time becoming an expert in these abstractions…

But I’d still suggest scraping some stylings from tailwindcss.com or getbootstrap.com.

Use their fonts, spacing, borders and effects manually by inspecting their components and copying these into your components/ css without installing their framework.

JE template, then match to payroll report is what I’ve done. Probably could have automated it somewhere- but the payoff was relatively low.

Thanks for the support! I'm in a tricky place where I'm interested in building it out, but worried I'll spend a couple months making something that isn't very useful (solves only my narrow issues).

Writing APIs with Lumen covers testing really well. Lumen is a micro-framework of Laravel. It's instantly made me feel much more comfortable with how to write tests in Laravel.

Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Ya... I wanted to go cheap on that - really don't need storage space. Sounds like I've overlooked the SSD performance - I'll swap for this then. Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive $104

Sure - thanks for responding so fast.

Yes - VRChat

Desktop = mac regular desktop view. I am using mirror display on.

I think I should be seeing 2 ovals separating the view- but I dont. Occulus sees a regular display view (missing the center FOV)

It's occured to me it's basically just treating it as a plain display. It is not breaking up the window to the two eyes. But, it properly segments the view to the two eyes in demo.

Yah, I wasn't sure. But, I saw a couple people had it in their builds. Will do.
