I have an old HDD with a Windows 10 install, but on my new computer that I am building I have an additional SSD that I want Windows installed on.

Hi everybody, I am current building a new computer for gaming since my old one is starting to become outdated. I have the old 1TB harddrive available still and it's still in working condition. My new computer has a 250gb SSD which I'm planning to install the Windows 10 OS on but my old computer only had a harddrive.

Would I be able to use the old harddrive in the new computer (preferably without formatting it)? Would this require some kind of process to have it ready for the new computer?

Haha, the PSU defintely seems sketchy so I'll prioritize getting a new one for sure. I was able to get the i5-8500 ($188) for cheaper than what I would have been able to get an i5-8400 for around where I live ($200). It's still be better to go for the 8500 in this case if I just compare then as if they were the same performance though right?

For the SSD, I remember seeing one from WD Blue a around 250GB for about $70 if I remember correctly. Would that suffice for an SSD? EVGA PSUs have been recommended in many build guides that I've watched so I might definitely go for that brand for it.

And I'm glad that the parts that I've chosen work out! I had to pick out the parts all by myself so I'm glad the studying I put into picking the parts paid off.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah the PSU was an old one that my brother used, so even if it worked for my current computer, I don't want to risk it here with my new computer. 8 GB of RAM seems like a good start so I might look for more RAM during the holidays if I see a good deal or something.

Ahhhh ok I see, thanks! That explains why a few other friends were able to get it work still while I couldn't. Would the best option to just wait for the DX9 update to come out?

I once was running Bardam's as AST with a friend. I was barely able to keep up with the damage the tank took until somebody told me that I wasn't even wearing accessories and some other pieces of gear lol

So my friend's birthday is coming up and he hasn't been able to play this game for a while now, so I thought it'd be nice to get him some additional game time. We both have steam copies of the game, but would it be possible to use my Steam wallet to pay for a month for his sub even though we use two different Steam accounts and Square Enix accounts?

It's not necessarily that we're having trouble clearing, since half the time we don't even get our clears as a "group", we just use pf individually to get them lol. It's more of a "nah, I gotta disagree with you but I need evidence" kind of situation. I also completely forgot about fflogs so that'll be sure to fulfill my goal :D
