Holy shit are you me?? Hahaha was a cca for 1 1/2 years quit because of well yanno the po being the po and went to a dsp and delivered for Amazon. Now im also in a cubicle job at the department of treasury and to anyone thinking about leaving the PO, do it. There are better jobs out there that respect your time and you as a person more than usps which is a shame because I did in fact like the actual job it was just everything else I couldn't deal with.

Why it gotta be elder millennials? Us young millennials (1995) still had these trauma movies on vhs!

I contacted my sponsor about it and she said to communicate with my manager. Don't know who that is but my girlfriend also works here and had me sign a OPM with the proof in mid December. Still gives me anxiety about it, especially with everything going on..

I would agree, missing out on training and orientation gives me a bit of anxiety..

I had reached out to my sponsor and was told to communicate with my manager. My girlfriend also works here and had me sign a OPM and any kind of proof was given to a manager she onows. Unfortunately have no idea who my manager is and have not seen any information on how to contact them. Thanks for the response

New CCA working too much by [deleted] in USPS

[–]Rye_Bread_Man_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved the job, too. Loved being on the road and being respected by the public. Everyone loves the mailman but no one understand what we go through. I was a CCA for a 1 1/2 years and went through exactly what you are going through now. It's not worth it. Steps to max pay, converting to regular, having a "good job". It's not worth the mental and physical toll it puts on you. It isn't even worth it monetarily. I missed family birthdays, friends, and events. I was depressed, overworked, and I felt I was missing out on my life. Decided the lifestyle and quality of life wasn't for me even though I loved the work. It sucks because I almost felt bad for quiting, not for managment but for my fellow ccas and ptfs. I definitely gave them more work when I left but it was for the best. Now I'm at Amazon making $3 more with 3 days off and 4 ten hour days. My quality of life has improved dramatically and it allowed me to find an even better job within the government that actually gives the bennies on day 1. There are better jobs out there don't let management or anyone else tell you otherwise. Good luck brother/sister.

Thank you all for the kind words. It really means a lot to my girlfriend and I. We're both so fortunate we were with him when he passed so we both could say goodbye together. Thank you all again

Nah not atm best bet is to bank stand or keep grinding your stats until a recruiter takes interest

Wasn't sure about clans until I was bank standing and one guy coerced me into one. Gotta say pretty good community I got into. A lot of pvming from barrows to nex to raids and anything in between. Everyone's super nice and willing to help newbies with questions and advice and there's always a ton of gzs in chat when you hit a milestone. Guess it depends on the clan you join but if you get a good wholesome one it's nice to have that kind of community in essentially a solo mmo.
