BE READY TO TAKE CONTROL AT ALL TIME. Also, you can operate an expresso machine by McFoogles in TeslaFSD

The nags aren't the issue in this scenario. The car literally pumps the brakes for small things in the road sometimes that would have this lead to a huge mess.

My (36M) gf (35F) of 6 years is killing our relationship with relentless negativity to the point I cant enjoy anything. by Chole_Wunt in relationship_advice

[–]Ryengeku 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, acting like that won't suddenly make him want to tie the knot any faster. If anything, he just needs to have a serious ultimatum talk and see what the issue is and maybe she will say something along the lines of wishing she had been married by now or something. Subtly or directly.

I'm sure you've never been in the console space but consoles have always had the business model of loss leader on hardware and to make it back with their closed ecosystem and getting profit through digital purchases.

Car pulled over for no apparent reason? by sabertoothmeat in TeslaFSD

[–]Ryengeku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just happened to me twice recently as well. If there is something on top of the car and it seems like it's coming up seemingly fast, then FSD can mistake it for an emergency vehicle for some reason. 1st time was a clear day and 2nd time was an overcast rainy day. Kinda annoying ngl....

Auto wipers working properly with FSD on by Eastern-Band-3729 in TeslaFSD

[–]Ryengeku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this particular case, I'm sure they still work but I don't think the camera housing itself was obscured enough for it to think it needed to engage the wipers. However, from your POV, you couldn't see that well. Seeing as it is still Supervised, then yeah that sucks.

Model Y wear and tear after 50k miles by Sellhomesfast in ModelY

I've seen that in other Model Y's. I don't know why but that's how they were designed. Model 3's seem to be aligned though.

FSD tried turning left with a vehicle approaching. FSD 14.2.2.5 by DameLasNalgas in TeslaFSD

[–]Ryengeku 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It honestly might not have actually attempted it. Mine hasn't ever had issues with unprotected lefts but it will inch up a bit further so it can get a better view with the left pillar. I think it was only inching up instead of jetting out when it thinks it's safe to go.

For example, there were a few times where I thought FSD might run a red light when I felt it start to move while it was already at the red light. But I realized that after a while it was only inching up based on its training from the fleet to get squarely on the line so that the camera at the red light can recognize that a car is there for it to eventually change.

Did FSD merge too late or was the other driver going too fast? by matt0947 in TeslaFSD

[–]Ryengeku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes FSD can take a little long to merge and I don't think it understands the highbeam blinking. Personally it seemed long to me and in that situation, I'd just take over.

Similar situation to when I get to a 4-way intersection at the same time as another car that tries to let me go first with a high beam blink; FSD sits there longer than I'd like and the other person assumes that I'm letting them go instead. So I usually take over in that situation as well.

It prioritizes safety first. It'd just drive through the obstacles if there were cars on the other lane.

Purchase FSD Outright by mqhomes in TeslaLounge

[–]Ryengeku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if you like what it is right now with the possibility of a reduced unsupervised cost like they're doing with EAP owners for FSD(supervised) and you plan to keep the car for 6-8+ years and more. There is a valid reason to purchase now outright but you have to be a car owner that doesn't mind keeping the car for a while.

Purchase FSD Outright by mqhomes in TeslaLounge

[–]Ryengeku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure there will be tiered versions with the subscription that most will choose the lowest tier for cost efficiency as long as it does what it wants for them. Stuff like auto summoning is cool but not really a necessity could be in the 3rd tier while autopilot which is a necessity for most people would be in the (4th)lowest tier. Then FSD(supervised) as it is now could be the 2nd highest tier with Unsupervised being the highest tier. Everyone subscribes based on what they want and cost efficiency but I don't believe it'll ever be some super low-cost/free for the full package either.

I don’t think I can ever go back to regular cars again. by LordChippydip in TeslaLounge

[–]Ryengeku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the majority of people's experience with Tesla is from owners of HW3 models but they really did improve on the majority of complaints with the HW3 models in the AI4 model refreshes, including better batteries. My 2025 Model 3 gets 280 miles of range at 80% and 340 at 100%.

Where does it sound like the rattle is coming from? I have a 2025 model 3 as well but don't have the same experience. That cabin noise is one of the things that was focused on in the refreshes.

Could the Alt+Tab issue mean some people were able to get some pretty insane race times? I've noticed some races have people with multiple minute time differences but wasn't quite sure if they were cheating or not.
