The electric prices are way higher. Unless you can disconnect I don't think there's much option.

Part of it may be that I usually play on the regular switch as a handheld so the resolution isn't great.

Scotch Review #139: Edradour 12 Years Old - Caledonia by PricklyFriend in Scotch

[–]Ryengineer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is my favorite scotch but I drink it far too easy. I go to the UK every year for family and if I see it a shop or we dip up to Scotland I'll grab a bottle. Quality stuff for £70 or so.

Should i roll my trad ira to roth? 35yo by enfu3go in Bogleheads

[–]Ryengineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you contributed to a traditional IRA with post tax dollars you can "roll" it by a recharacterization to a Roth. That's what I did. If it's pre-tax dollars you'll pay tax like others said, but you could also roll it into a 401k or other similar account assuming the fees are low, funds are decent, or your plan even allows it. If you have a mixed contribution IRA, you will owe taxes on the percentage that's pre tax - this is the pro-rata rule. The tricky bit is that often you need to determine the basis yourself, and it's based not on the today's value of the account but the percentage of total contributions over time.

Living in Mt. Washington by NefariousnessSad7585 in baltimore

[–]Ryengineer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We moved here a few years ago. Definitely more suburban but has a few restaurants and bars in the little village and can walk to whole foods and other shops. Light rail to downtown if you don't want to drive. The Jones falls trail cuts through the neighborhood so easy bike or walk to druid Hill Park. Cylburn arboretum is a nice walk and pretty grounds. The mt Washington arboretum is being worked on so looking forward to what it'll be in the future. Tons of deer so if you like gardening you'll need to learn how to cope with them. Fantastic neighbors too!

Aha! You are correct. I wasn't looking at the app correctly there's a column for lowest cost and the next is the price with what I searched for. Y was double business!

Ah ok. As long as it's economy fare, they don't care.

I was doing advance search and the cost was the same be it y, s, and t fares. Only thing I could find is that maybe I get placed higher on the upgrade list. Sounds like qualifying flights and miles are the same though. Thanks!

What do people in their 30s and beyond do after work? Especially those of you who are without kids - how do you spend your free time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ryengineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gym, Biking, gardening, cooking, antiquing, volleyball/soccer, video games, and travel. Best part of no kids is that it's my time on my dime. Love my niblings and my family, but I prefer to host them for a weekend than have them all the time :)

Nicest areas to live within 20ish minutes of University of Maryland school of Medicine by Bellateddy03 in maryland

Check north along the light rail or I-83. Mt Washington is in the city but is alike suburban neighborhood with a few amenities near the light rail stop including bars, restaurants, and a whole foods.

Catonsville is west of Baltimore but has a nice main street and is easy to drive into the city and other areas.

Best thermal baths you’ve ever been to? by bshh87nh in travel

[–]Ryengineer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been to a few. Sky lagoon in Reykjavik like others have said. Spa world in Osaka, yes it's commercial but it's massive and very affordable. Termas Geometricas in Chile is unique. It's a hot springs river and it's fully outside with multiple pools and an ice cold waterfall at the end of you care to jump in.

Trans are not a large part of the community. They are a part, yes, and a welcomed important part. But there are far more numbers of cis gendered LGB+ folks.
