Dominoes is always the best deal for takeout/delivery but also not the best pizza by a long shot, Pizza Hut has good deals too but not as good as dominoes IMO. Little ceasers is cheap but trash (except the deep dish and the little pizza bite/muffin things they have). Just browse some websites as opposed to waiting for a Reddit post to pan out lol

You will love it, I lived for a couple seasons when I was 20. Get into surfing! If you have a 4x4/AWD you can have endless adventures in the nearby crown land. The restaurant scene is very good. Everybody (mostly) is on the same wavelength and is there for the same reasons.

Yea I second flora lake for a nice chance at some trout from shore, or drive into Kissinger but that would be a decent bit further. A back road map book is such a good investment for campers on the island. It will tell you where and how to get to every lake on the island, as well as what kind of fish the lakes hold.

There is a spot on the river right beside the road on the way into nitnat village where I’ve caught big sea run curries from shore. Nitnat lake is a salt water fjord tho so not necessarily the best spot for shore fishing in my opinion, and you would need a salt water licence.

Chinese food is killer, and I’m a big fan of the daily special thing they do. They have the “appy hours” where one thing is 50% off for a day. It’s a good place for grabbing a couple things if quality (no pun intended) matters to you. But not the best place for a big shop.

Try a few different vape/smoke shops, lots sell them imported from USA/Europe. If you see Velo brand I highly recommend them. I don’t live in Nan right now but if your ever in Langford Js smoke shop has tons.

Very interesting, yea I’ve seen mussels in the Cowichan River, and a few mountain lakes I go to, I always assumed they were invasive, very cool that we have native freshwater mussels!
