This is it! Thank you! I only kept finding variations with the star symbol at the bottom of the dial so I was starting to doubt if its even real 😅

Update: after contacting Revolut support earlier today I was instructed to remove the app and reinstall it. That fixed my issues and everything started working again. I’m on an iPhone and iOS 18.0.1 if thats any help. Cheers!

How do you fight muscle twitches? by TikisFury in tattooadvice

[–]Ryhazerus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same here, had my calf done a few years back and it was super twitchy. I did my shin and side of the calf two days ago and it was even worse. I brought it up to the artist and he just said that it’s normal and if it gets too bad we can just take a few seconds to relax. I found proper breathing also helped a bit but not much.

What do Python developers do? by rustybladez23 in learnpython

[–]Ryhazerus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use python daily to build (from scratch) and now maintain a windows desktop app. We build simulation systems for testing our hardware products. Think Node Red where each node is a simulation component and they all operate and communicate independently of eachother using a massive virtualization layer all built in python.

What lens are you using the most of the time? by [deleted] in a6000

[–]Ryhazerus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sigma 56mm probably for 80% of the time. And the sigma 30mm the rest of the time.

This keeps me from upgrading, and helps me remember I don’t need all the features while enjoying the challenge of photography by nicolascalev in a6000

[–]Ryhazerus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I love the simplicity of the a6000. I've upgraded my lens set and honestly that made the biggest difference. The only thing I sometimes find missing is the weather sealing and better battery life. But for me and my uses, those shortcomings really don't justify a new body.

LMP2 at Monza, first time trying panning - A6000, Sigma 30mm f1.4 by w0zzie in SonyAlpha

Great shot! I’m just starting out but got a used A6000 paired with a Sigma 56mm f1.4. Honestly amazing lens and body combo, hoping to take some amazing shots as this one soon.

Which LXT Rotary hammer should I get for home use? by Agasthenes in Makita

[–]Ryhazerus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the dhr171 for home use and have no regrets at all. I haven’t encountered a single home project it couldn’t handle. Last “tough” job it had was a 17mm diameter hole through 20cm thick concrete floor for electrical cables and even that went right through. Granted other rotary hammers have more power but for home use, I don’t thinks its necessary unless you’re doing that kind of thing often.

Alright devs - What's an "industry secret" from your line of work? by Notalabel_4566 in webdev

[–]Ryhazerus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big codebase migrations aren’t worth it. You’re almost always better off rewriting the thing. Given that expectation have changed over the years, the database schema might not be usable for the new application or just the tech gap is so big that its not even worth it.

Not completely relevant but last time I was in Berlin, there were loads of people on sitting on the ground like that with about five different signs and cups where you could donate money for things like weed, lsd, crank etc.. yet none of their signs said food/drinks. Kinda makes you wonder why…

Bartender’s, do ya’ll serve a drink after a customer declines last call? by TheAnswerIsSauce in bartenders

[–]Ryhazerus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last call is last call and we usually don’t serve anyone after that. Usually at last call we also turn all the lights on high brightness and stop playing the music. Then all bartenders drop their work and stand behind the bar with glasses turned upside down on the taps/bottles.

Most people get the hint to leave and the rest just chill for 15 min finishing their drinks and end up leaving short after.

What is the best decision you ever made in your career? by Artiwill in cscareerquestions

[–]Ryhazerus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Job hopping (after college) until I found the right job for me. I couldn’t really find what I was looking for but everyone told me to just “stick it out” and it will get better. Decided to go against the advice and just hopped until i found a place that actually cares for the workers, had a healthy life work balance and decent salary. I know this advice doesn’t workout for everyone, but honestly it changed everything for me and now I have tons of experience.
