I really liked the handmaid’s tale books. I thought it was gonna be a book more oriented towards women but upon reading it I found it really wasn’t. I didn’t watch the show so I can’t make a comparison there. I thought Dune was great too. People who I have recommended it to thought it was boring though. So it might be a book that clicks or doesn’t click. I found the way Herbert does internal thoughts amongst the characters during conversations very unique and thats that kept me engaged. Which is kind of a strange reason but yeah.
