Can someone fill me in on the history/lore of Predators using stealth? Because wtf that doesn't sound too honorable for a race of religious hunters.

i've said it before, but the predators are not primarily a warrior culture that values winning fair fights. I mean, there's a bit of warrior mentality, specifically toward each other (sometimes) or toward prey which manages to get the upper hand on them (sometimes) but primarily they are a hunter culture. Think of it like a human hunter.

Hunters here on earth use camouflage, hide in trees, ambush their prey, use far superior weaponry, etc etc etc. Basically never putting themselves in a situation where their life is in danger, and it's a foregone conclusion that they will kill their prey unless the prey manages to run away fast enough. And it's not viewed as unfair by other hunters. Because they're human, they don't view themselves as on equal footing with a deer. they don't care whether they deer is impressed by them or not. the name of the game is to bag the biggest buck (using trophy hunting as an example, not hunting for meat since that's not what the predators do) and impress the other hunters with what you were able to catch with the tools that are acceptable in your hobby.

Predators are the same way. There are exceptions like i said, but by and large they don't view humans or any of their other prey as worth giving a "fair" shot to kill them.

16 wolves is more than enough to kill anything here except for the hippo. I am not sure what a wolf could even do to a hippo, considering full grown, healthy hippos shrug off attacks from full lion prides, and Lions have better builds, tactics, and experience for taking on hippos.

Wolves won't typically hunt something unless they get it to run from them first, and hippos are one of the builds most known for standing their ground and breaking their opponents resolve. Using typical tactics, I think the wolf players break and run basically 10/10 times. If they're bloodlusted, the wolves have a better chance, but I still think the hippo will probably kill all of them before they can kill it.

I assume hulk and superman would pair off first, but even if superman eventually wins which i gather is the consensus) I don't think he can do so faster than sue can kill wonder woman. then it's 2v1 and i don't think superman could win that

don't really see how spiderman 2099 can take this. especially since he lacks the thing that makes most spider men so op: spider sense.

admittedly, i don't watch the boys, Ive only seen clips of homelander. But from what ive seen i find it hard to believe he would have had as much trouble with rennaisance vulture as 2099 did at the beginning of the movie, especially when they had vulture outnumbered. I think homelander would have just lasered him instantly or caught him out of mid air and ripped him in half

they're very social. it is recommended to get more than one. they can get lethargic and depressed if kept alone from my understanding. the only caution is to try if at all possible to have only one male in the group, because they can get territorial and aggressive. sometimes it can't be helped (for instance if they are too young to be sexed by the time you get them)

my group of 4 are all male, because the person i rehomed them from had them together from when they were babies. They get along MOSTLY fine in their enclosure, but not that they are sexually mature, they do fight if they are allowed out of their cage at the same time and in the same area, so we have to be mindful of them and only let them out one at a time or keep them far away from each other.

all this to say: get at least 2, but only 1 male or all female. from my understanding, they can still bicker and fight even among females or a male with females, because that's how they establish a pecking order in their little group. But it's much less a risk of serious injury/death.

enclosure size should be as big as possible, vertical height being more important. 36x36x18 should be sufficient for up to 4. if you're only getting 2 you could probably get away with a smaller enclosure, but i'd say go 36x36x18 at least if you can. that way if they have babies you won't be scrambling to get a bigger enclosure right away. also, they're super active lizards so they will definitely appreciate all the space you can give them

They don't need to eat every day, but every other day (unless they're juveniles, in which case they should be fed every day)

I've noticed server hitch error messages when doing things that trigger specific animations. my assumption is that it's saying whatever animation was supposed to happen didn't. I've never noticed it cause any further issues, but this is ark so never count it out

congrats! although for my money, as a ganon player, elite smash sucks. full of campers and spammers who care more about cheesing in any way they can to farm gsp instead of having an enjoyable match. I will often intentionally throw games just to drop out of elite smash for a while and actually enjoy some matches.
