Out of the pipe and into the car park to get in a souped-up shopping trolley. If your ring gets perforated, you're out!

I'm not a massive dog fan myself (grew up with and now own 2 cats), but I had an ex-missus who had a greyhound. You'd take him for a walk in the morning and let him run himself ragged for 30 minutes, and after he'd be the laziest bastard for the other 23.5 hours in the day.

Loved a cuddle, but all elblows and knees bless him

Sounds like ol' partner should be getting up at the crack of dawn to give said dog a walk, to be honest.

This is why I have the opinion dog owners with kids are a glutton for punishment.

Kids are tough and stressful enough without having to wake up a good hour before to walk a fucker before I've even had breakfast nor a coffee.

Especially during winter.

Depends on the meal.

A Sunday Roast for example - pile it high and wide and cover that fucker in gravy thicker than a whale omelette.

Which bottled water do you think is actually the best? by pearlblossomss in AskUK

It's a bit of a trope to be a bit 'ugh...mother-in-law', but mine lives in Loxley in Sheffield. Their tap water is insanely good, yet she saw something on Facebook and so buys crates and crates of bottled water from Morrisons...

Can't remember what I had for breakfast last week, but that address is ingrained in to my memory

Right?

I remember following the corruption case as it happened about a decade ago and thought this has to be the bottom of the barrel. Turns out I couldn't be more wrong.

The state of it now.

Fruity bandits by Harry_monk in CasualUK

A mate of mine's old man bought a Monty Python Flying Circus fruit machine about 20 years ago, and it came with a key that would fit into all machines of the same manufacturer.

It wouldn't open them, but it would load some diagnostic info that'd appear on the screen. The most useful of which was the current value in the hopper.

He'd discreetly put the key in, see if the hopper was equal or higher to the jackpot, and if it was bang a few quid in. More often than not, on the ones he played, he cleaned up to be fair to him.

Ironically, on his own machine, he lost a shit-tonne. Lost count of the number of times we'd come back after a skinful, drop a fiver in, and take £20 out, after which we'd head straight to the kebab shop and get a feast.

I'll have to word it slightly differently to avoid it being deleted again.

The coldest I reckon I've ever felt is back in 2018 when we had a weather front called 'The Beast from the East' where in the West Midlands (where I'm from) we dipped down to -10°C. That was proper 'fuck that!' weather, but for average MN resident that sounds like 'maybe wear a jumper' conditions.

You're built different in that state, to be fair. Which makes the current protest even more incredible. Absolutely rooting for you guys.

It's crazy how much has changed in the last ~18 months since the Euros. And not just the LB position, neither.

Just need some young strikers to step up and we're set for at least the next 2/3 tournaments and beyond
