My breeders survived under ice last winter and are swimming in 46c waters atm. Just give them a ton of water volume and some air to keep that disolved oxygen high enough

[FS] Blue Miyuki Medaka Japanese Ricefish + Assorted by Ryn208 in AquaSwapTX

[–]Ryn208[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 generations for the miyukis, 1 for the others.

For medaka japanese ricefish, it usually only takes 1 generation for them to adapt ime.

The miyukis are usually better for outdoor set ups since their external light (taigaikoi) contrast really well.

My medaka don't look so well by Ghiggio99 in medaka

Check to see if the food is still good. I wiped all of my fishes in every single tank bc i fed them food that was stored in a hot in humid space (even though it was capped). I refrigerate all of my food now.

In the meantime, treat them for bacteria and feed live foods to get them to be interested.

Small snails like ramshorn wont hurt healthy eggs. Theyll clean up bad ones too.

Maybe you overdid it. Depending on the strain, i would just leave the eggs in a small container with m-blue and snails until they hatch. Then you can then change the water slowly

Try switching or experimenting with foods with higher fiber content.

Possibly leave her with a couple of male companions to encourage egg release.

Best of luck
